(04-08-2016, 04:55 AM)blessedbreasts Wrote: [ -> ]Okay, I'm really, really considering ordering spearmint the next time I do an Amazon order. I was doing some research, and someone was saying they tried Mint Medley but had better results with pure spearmint. If my high androgen symptoms were light, I'd stick with the Mint Medley. But I have really ugly, disgusting high androgen problems, and I clearly need something strong, so the pure spearmint is obviously the way to go. I tried it in the past, and it gave me these tiny pimples, so I stopped. Well, in doing research recently, I discovered that it can cause some people's skin to purge before it gets better. I wish I'd stuck with it!

Not sure if I should get the tea in the spirit of keeping my routine food-oriented, or if I should cave and get the capsules.
i wouldnt go pills, im sure this tea inhibits iron absorption too, id look into that as you get low!
I think all teas do, but that won't stop me! I've got to have my tea!
No i think it was just spearmint but il look into it later. I do know mint teas stop breast milk supply and greatly hinder it so i think theres something in it tied up with breasts, prolactin?..

I only had time to read the first bit but this isnt totally against spearmint tea at all. But if you have time to read and find anything useful let me know

Finally, a rather potent mineral “blocking” effect has been reported in studies conducted on mint tea. Most, but not all, of the trials have found that peppermint and spearmint teas inhibit the absorption of dietary minerals such as iron. (13,14,15) This could actually be either a good thing or an unwanted consequence. For those who need extra iron, it’s obviously a harmful interaction. But most men and post menopausal women do not need additional iron and in fact, reducing iron levels may be advantageous. (16,17,18)

That above affects me too, ive been having mint tea daily and my iron levels are the lowest ive had them tested ever.
Yikes, that sucks. But all teas really do block iron to some extent thanks to tannins. That's why I stopped drinking green tea with my meals. Blocks other minerals from being absorbed, too. Basically, don't drink tea while you're eating. Drink it on its own, at least an hour after a meal or something like that.

Oh yes, there's nothing like a good cup of chamomile. I love the smell of it. Never heard of oatstraw! New tea to look into. I really love tea.
Oatstraw is good for NBE and it's a calming tea too
Oo, and it has silica in it, so it helps with skin, too. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for it now! Thanks, Ella.
I can feel myself coming out of my "starve and overexercise" mode. I'm scared of starting to lose weight in my face. I have round, youthful-looking cheeks that I never want to lose, and I regularly get scared when I restrict my eating that I'll permanently lose the fat there. It's impossible to gain it back once you lose it. Loss of volume in your face is one of the main things that makes you look older. I don't need to be helping that process along.

Some dietary changes I need to make in light of research I've been doing lately:

1. Red meat at least once a week.
2. Tuna once a week.
3. Full fat yogurt every day.
4. Continue with eating an avocado every day that I can.
5. Raw leafy greens every single day for thyroid.
6. Eat more eggs.
7. Make sure to eat trail mix and peanut butter more regularly.

My breasts seem really small right now, but I kind of like it. I like how "slinky" my body looks right now. I feel like I move much more effortlessly and gracefully.

Still... I really want bigger breasts. Need to stay on top of my massages.

I've heard of ghee before. It's supposedly fairly easy to make. That reminds me, I want to start buying butter, as we have nothing but margarine. I wish butter weren't so much pricier. If only we had our own cows.

I actually really don't want to gain weight! The idea scares me. I just don't want to lose any more. Trying to maintain.
