Forum: Herbal Breast Enhancement

I started my NBE routine about two years ago and I've since been getting very frequent bouts of pain, tingling, tenderness, soreness and painful lumps around my boobs and even armpits sometimes. All this points to definite growth but guess what, I've had the slowest growth in the history of NBE. In these two years, I've grown less a cup. The inches on the tape have been static for a good while now, none of my bras have gotten tighter on me and simply put, I see very little to no growth even in 6 months time. Now, the herbs I've tried:

Fenugreek, Saw Palmetto, Red Clover, damiana, milk thistle, hops flower, maca, blessed thistle, Evening Primrose oil, fennel seeds, sesame seeds and marine collagen (ok, not an herb).

I've tried different combinations. I've also tried extracts of SP and RC. And currently, I'm taking:

- 3-4 610 mg FG caps
- 2 540 mg SP caps or 1 cap and 6 drops of extract (it's 36 mg/drop)
- 7 drops of RC extract (also 36 mg/drop)
- 2 390 mg BT caps
- 1 400 mg damiana
- 1 310 Hf
- 1 marine collagen tab every other day

I also massage with different oils (FG, flaxseed, sesame, EPO and olive oil) and mixtures a few times a week.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi!
I've already contributed to this site with some comments, read a lot of threads, personal programs etc. I know that every person/woman is different...and therefore I would like to ask for a help Smile
I have tried many herbs, such as PM (gave me estrogen dominance, I lost weight, it also reduced my breast size :/ )
BO _ bad acne everywhere, worse and falling hair :/ no booby growth Sad
Maca - it increases my blood pressure and I got some terrible stomach cramps, but I think that somehow it increased my butt size which I liked..then it dissapeared after stopping using it Sad
and now I am using spearmint to bring down my androgens...in the luteal phase I used 3x 400mg swanson's spearmint, It was perfect, hair, face, less body haair...however now during my period it seems that it gace me some estrogen dominance, worse hair, lot of acne on my back, chest...in hair actually... so I am wondering is it so strong??? :O
what would you advise me?? lower the dosage of spearmint and then use Progesterone cream or what?? I used norethisterone for few days to postpone my period, after some days of using maca and I noticed bigger breasts. I thought I was pregnant at first Big Grin So would it be possible that the progestins in norethisterone and vitex is helpful and OK to use for some days??? Have you ever tried it??
thanks so much for any responses Smile

I wrote this information on Maca on my thread a few weeks back and am now deciding to share it with the community for those who have not seen it. Good luck Smile

~The Maca♡Princess guide~:

Maca root - Abundant in amino acids, phytonutrients, healthy fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, increase in energy and libido, adaptogen.

What is an adaptogen?: (in herbal medicine) a natural substance considered to help the body adapt to stress and to exert a normalizing effect upon bodily processes. A well-known example is ginseng.

that means if your body is going through changes, maca can help level you out!

I am getting a lot of PMs about Maca so I have decided to make this cute little guide for those interested in it or want to learn a bit more about it. I had a few of you ask me if its right for you and also say it made you gain weight. I am going to start off by saying no one can tell you what is right for your body except for you. When working with herbs, hormones, nbe or anything like that-- you must know your body. Something that works for someone else may not work for you. & that reason is DNA! There are some who might need more estrogen & others more Progesterone. In my case, I needed more nutrition and my body responded to the vitamins and amino acids in Maca. (though I did have issues with progesterone but I digress)

Maca should not make you gain weight-- but I believe it will if you take it and go on about your daily life not changing your diet or life style. Moving on maca is a MUST! Nothing inside of maca makes you gain weight-- but its the vitamin B that can increase hunger. You may not even notice it but chances are you will find yourself more hungry or eating bigger portions. It is because vitamin B helps your body burn energy and in turn, can make you hungry. If you are not an active person, I would not suggest Maca.. People who follow my thread know I do calisthenics with resistance, and I work out like a mad woman-- I did notice a bit of weight gain on maca when I first started but I knew why & curved my eating and I worked out my core. This allowed the curves to go directly on my hips and breast and stayed away from my tummy. Working out is a must. Drinking water is a must. Clean diet is a must. (not just with maca but for nbe as well)

That means no sugar, low salt, soda, candies, cakes, snacking and processed foods!

Bottom line: will you gain weight?
Maca is low in calories and fat. 3 teaspoons (9 g) of Maca contains just 35 calories and 1 g of fat. So, in and of itself, Maca does not promote weight gain. However, Maca is anabolic and does help build muscle. It also balances hormones and may increase appetite. In this way it can support weight gain.

Glucosinolates: Aromatic glucosinolates including: benzyl glucosinolate, p-methoxybenzyl glucosinolate, fructose, glucose, benzyl isothiocyanate. In food-bearing plants, glucosinolates act as natural pesticides and are stored in the plant’s cells, ready to be released upon tissue damage. Similarly, when consumed by humans, the action of chewing releases the glucosinolates into the body, where they are transformed into bioactive compounds believed to have anticancer properties.
Macaenes and macamides: (Macaina 1, 2, 3, 4) These are polyunsaturated acids and their amides which are absolutely unique to Maca.

Maca Adaptogen:

The Maca Nutrition Facts listed above show that Maca is a true nutritional powerhouse and amazing maca nutritiondaily food to include in your diet.

But Maca root, like the Chinese herb ginseng, is also an adaptogen. Adaptogens are substances that raise the physical body’s state of resistance to diseases through physiological and emotional health improvements. This makes Maca a broad based healer with many benefits able to support and rejuvenate overwhelmed, tired adrenal glands eventually resulting in much greater energy, stamina, clarity of mind and spirit, and the ability to handle stress.

One other important note is that scientists have also discovered that due to Maca’s nutritional value, the food has the ability to regulate, support, and balance the hormonal systems of both men and women for optimal function. One of the very great things about Peruvian Maca root is that it is not “gender specific” and works equally well for both men and women.

Maca and the buttt:

The first thing you should understand about Maca is that it is a food and not a supplement. When you take pure, certified organic Maca powder, you are eating a food that has been cultivated and used by people living high in the Andes mountains for over 2000 years. They have used it without side effect to boost their energy, improve their fertility and increase their stamina while living in the extreme conditions of very high altitudes (12,000 feet and above). Maca is a nutritional powerhouse and provides a high level of nutrients. It is also an adaptogenic food that supports optimal hormone balance and vitality for anyone who enjoys it.

In terms of getting a “maca buttocks” from this superfood here’s what you need to know:

Maca powder is low in calories and fat. A daily serving of 3 teaspoons contains just 35 calories and 1 gram of fat. That means that Maca will not add fat to your backside.
A daily serving of Maca contains 4 grams of bio available protein. This 100% natural vegetable protein is easy for the body to digest and assimilate and is one reason it is often found in natural bodybuilding supplements.
Maca is well known to be a natural “anabolic.” Anabolic foods contain compounds that are helpful in building muscle fiber. Of course, it only works if you actually exercise the muscles you want to build. If you do that, Maca supports their healthy growth.
Since the butt contains the largest muscles in the body (the gluteus maximus) it follows that using Maca combined with a consciously designed exercise program will help you achieve a “maca buttocks.”
One of the many benefits of Maca is that it helps balance hormones. That means that it supports a healthy level of estrogen, which is clearly related to enhancing female curves.

this means you must work out with maca!

Maca & hormones (for the butt):

Your body composition and your booty are primarily dictated by your genetic makeup. Such as things like diet, hormones, bone structure, and muscle.

Now while maca root powder cant directly effect things like diet, bone structure, muscle, or your overall genetics — it can help with hormones.

Maca root in the case of hormone regulation works as an adaptogen. Which basically means that rather than inserting “x” amount of a certain hormone in your body, it will actually tailor its effects to your specific hormonal needs.

Therefore it essentially goes into your body and evaluates what hormones need raising and which need lowering. It then in attempts to balance them and bring the hormones into a more functional state for optimal health.

In our case it helps to regulate the hormone estrogen. Which among many things has been linked to body composition and fat depositing — specifically in the buttocks regions.

If your estrogen levels are not ideal, it can potentially help normalize them and provide more balance.

There are different types of maca, I use yellow maca. The daily dose of maca you can take is 1500mg. You can take it in powder or pill form. Do not take maca at night, as it has given people insomnia. Maca is best taken at the start of the day or post work out-- it causes insomnia because it gives you energy! Maca is known to increase libido, i didnt get this but I did feel more "fertile"-- females should know what I mean, lol.

Maca does:
Increased energy and endurance
Increased stamina
Alleviated chronic exhaustion (fatigue) syndrome
Improved sexual function and libido in both men and women
Enhanced fertility in people and animals
Reduced hormonal dysfunction during menopause & andropause
Balanced hormonal irregularities
Alleviated depressionmaca-benefits-290x115.jpg
Reduced anxiety and stress
Improved circulation leading to reduced anemia and faster wound healing
Enhanced memory, learning, and mental ability
Improved and more youthful skin appearance
Healthy teeth and bones
Maca also:

Acts as a fungistatic and bacteriostatic
Acts as an anticarcinogen and antioxidant
Is an alternative to anabolic steroids, helps to build muscle

I have taken maca before in capsule form and I DID feel balanced. Recently I decided to start it again and was confused because I have seen it called either Lepidium Meyenii or Lepidium Peruvianum.
Apparently they ARE different. Not sure what lepidium meyenii does but it seems to be the main one on the market and it is NOT the right one to be using -- according to these studies...

First read through this. It basically says that
meyenii does not provide the health, energy, and adaptogenic qualities but peruvianum does..
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4392557/

This one is a more extensive article and shows clinical studies done on MacaGO products which are some formulated combination of the peruvianum type and it actually shows that estrogen and progesterone rise with this type.
https://www.naturalhi.com/downloads/Whit...MacaGO.pdf
On other sites, most studies find that there are no statistically significant changes when taking maca in estrogen, testosterone, or progesterone as you can see on this site:
http://examine.com/supplements/Maca/
Maybe this is because the study used meyenii instead of peruvianum?

According to the article above with the MacaGO, this is the BEST Maca to buy and one that is clinically proven to affect hormone levels in a double blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, multi center study:
http://www.amazon.com/Femmenessence-Maca...B006ICPDHO

So why does everyone claim to achieve benefits from other maca?
I dont know.. maybe placebo effect..

Not sure what to make of this info yet. I literally just bought a bag of Navitas organic Lepidium MEYENII and I really don't want to have to return it Sad

But would be interesting to see what others think and if you have actually tried the femmenessence let us know how it worked! Thinking about buying it.

I've been taking fenugreek since the 21st April. I take 3 pills a day of 610 mg because I wanted to see how my body reacted. How long did it take for you to feel something? Because so far, I don't feel any tingling or itchiness. I just smell like fenugreek whenever I sweat.

I was looking at the latest research on plant-derived and plant-based androgen receptor antagonists (AR antagonist) and made a very cool discovery, another sadly disappointing one, and finally, a confirmation of good news about the cool discovery in relation to the disappointment about DIM.

First, the cool discovery:
http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/66/1/453.full

Angelica gigas contains decursin and similar compounds. Decursin and its isomers, metabolites, and so on have been discovered to be extremely potent AR antagonists as mentioned in the thread subject line and as detailed in the above study. They are about 5 times more potent than DIM and are even more potent than the synthetic pharmaceutical drug bicalutamide, which was the previous generation of synthetic drugs used for this purpose. I suspect it was the discovery of these substances that led to the development of the current generation drug enzalutamide, because whereas DIM was comparable to bicalutamide, decursin is comparable to enzalutamide in potency.

Now for a little disappointment:
http://carcin.oxfordjournals.org/content...1.full.pdf

As mentioned in the thread subject line and detailed in the above study, diindolylmethane, also known as DIM and marketed as the latter in supplements, has been shown to be anti-estrogenic. While the study was hyper-focused upon cancer research, careful reading of the study reveals that DIM does the exact same thing on ER-beta (the booby growth estrogen receptor) as it does on androgen receptors...

In light of this discovery about DIM I did a little further snooping on decursin, and found this:
http://www.biomedcentral.com/content/pdf/bcr1790.pdf

Decursin ALSO exhibits anti-breast cancer properties, but instead of inhibiting ER-beta, it only inhibits ER-alpha and actually serves to increase the number of ER-beta receptor sites. ER-alpha is more highly prone to cancer and inflammation and doesn't do as well at feminizing as ER-beta, so the net effect of decursin on estrogen is estrogenic, NOT anti-estrogenic like DIM.

For supplements that contain angelica gigas I have found only two different brands that carry the same formulation, the formulation being trademarked EstroG-100:

Doctor's Best EstroG-100: http://www.drbvitamins.com/products/estr...c1l5M.dpbs

NOW Foods Herbal Pause with EstroG-100: http://www.nowfoods.com/Herbal-Pause-wit...psules.htm

You may have noticed that the NOW brand contains exactly half as much EstroG-100 per capsule, but has twice as many capsules per bottle. It's still the exact same product, it's just been packaged differently.

NOW didn't mention the numbers for each herb in the formula, but Doctor's Best did, there's 180mg angelica gigas and 167mg each of the other two herbs.

When I researched the other two herbs, only phlomis umbrosa had any additional effect on NBE, it contains estrogenic compound(s) similar to PM and others in the way it is estrogenic, meaning, it binds to estrogen receptors and has some degree of estrogenic response. The information I found on it is interesting, but that's for another thread if I discuss it at all, for now I'll just say that it should not have too much of an impact good or bad in the presence of other estrogens. If you are low on estrogen, it will be beneficial, otherwise, it'll have minimal impact.

Soooooooo... if you're looking for an AR-antagonist as part of your program, I would greatly recommend skipping the DIM and giving either of the two EstroG-100 products a try. I know I'm considering it now for if I can ever really start back up again.

I posted this last year, take a look at the diagram in table 2, in specifically the increase in dhea, progesterone, FSH (follicle stimulating hormone-----a pure aromatase imo) testosterone and prolactin, respectively. From the study I believe the bump in libido comes from DHEA (similar to maca), however, the way FG increases E2 (dramatically in month 2) comes from its aromatase capabilities (from multiple pathways I believe), but mostly from FSH.

_________________________
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of Trigonellafoenum-graecum (fenugreek) seed extract on sex hormones and sexual function in healthy menstruating women who reported low sexual drive. This short term, single site, double blind, randomised, placebo-controlled study was conducted on 80 women, aged 20 to 49 years. Participants were randomised to either an oral dose of a standardised T. foenum-graecum seed extract (libifem) at a dose of 600 mg/day or placebo over two menstrual cycles. Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, progesterone, androstenedione, total and free testosterone, estradiol (E2), luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, sex hormone binding globulin and cholesterol were measured at baseline and 8 weeks. The individual aspects of sexual function were measured using the Derogatis interview for sexual functioning and female sexual function index self-administered questionnaires. Stress, fatigue and quality of the relationship with partner were also measured using the PSS (Perceived Stress Scale), MFI-20 (Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory) and DAS (Dyadic Adjustment Scale) quality of life measures, respectively. There was a significant increase in free testosterone and E2 in the active group as well as sexual desire and arousal compared with the placebo group. The results indicate that this extract of T. foenum-graecum may be a useful treatment for increasing sexual arousal and desire in women. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

.
Administration of T. foenum-graecum seed extract was also associated with a significant increase in E2 levels. Estradiol stimulates vaginal lubrication and blood flow, affecting a woman’s capacity for sexual arousal and orgasm (Simon, 2011); this supports the significant positive change in sexual arousal observed. Whilst the mechanism of the increase in E2 levels is unclear from the current study, one possibility is due to increased aromatase activity that converts testosterone to E2.

my interpretation of how FG increases E2 is explained above.

Hi I have recently come across articles saying this helps breast growth? But I cannot seem to find why it would help with this or if it should or shouldn't be used by those with eostrogen dominance etc. Or what dose is good, tablets or powder or tea etc.

Does anyone have any information and any success stories using this herb? I would love to know more about it. I am quite sure I am ED (from my symptoms and fibrocystic breasts) and would like to know if this is something I should try or steer clear of.

Thanks so much !

Reishi stimulates the immune system (beta-1,3-D-glucan), I fail to see where something that prevents cancer, raises T cells, boosts immune system, inhibits DHT (pharma class), and has estrogenic properties (amongst many other benefits) isn't enough for NBE, I wouldn't suggest toxic levels of coumarins.
