So... my mom gave me some of her herbal capsules and teas she doesn't use anymore.
there is black cohosh, dong qua, & pennyroyal
are any of these beneficial? I've done some light reading on all and if I remember correctly the all produce estrogen. I think pennyroyal also produces progesterone
I use to take goats rue with amazing results for breast feeding. fenugreek did wonders also. I will be ordering both this month. I'm debating BO.
another question how is sheep or goat placenta any different than bovine or pig.

hey girls,
i just found that awesome detox on http://mustgrowbust.com/2014/how-to-do-a...ast-growth
and decided to do it ,
but i don't understand what do they mean with ( Warm Lemon Water )
does it mean warm lemon juice or the water that the lemon peel has been boiled in or the water that the lemon leaves have been boiled in ?
I've a garden in my house and all the options are available for me, so what do you think they mean with (warm lemon water ) ?
here's the four steps of this detox .
Detox Step #1. Epsom Bath Salts
Also known as a salt detox bath, this detoxifying method makes use of magnesium sulfate to rid the body of toxins by soaking in an epsom salt-filled tub. This soaking draws toxins from your body while at the same time supplying your body with much-needed magnesium through the skin (around half the American population is deficient in magnesium, which is crucial for around 300 bodily functions).
The result is an energizing rejuvenation of your body and improved liver function. Not bad for a simple bath soak.
To do an epsom bath soak, just fill your tub with warm-hot water (the hotter, the better) and add two cups of epsom salts. You can add a bit of baking powder as well to help with the mineral absorption. If you’re feeling luxurious, feel free to also stir in a few drops of essential oils – lavender is awesome.
Climb into your tub and stay in for around 10 to 15 minutes. We recommend doing epsom bath salts 3x a week while detoxing.
Detox Step #2. Green Smoothie Detox
Green smoothies are something we’ve been really gung ho about lately as it’s proven to be one of the most effective cornerstones in natural breast enhancement and maintenance. It seems like a lot of women are so focused on getting bigger breasts quickly, with supplements, that it’s easy to lose sight of the crucial fact that you need to give your body the vital nutrients and vitamins it needs to support breast growth!
Green smoothies are an easy way to do that.
They provide your body with a powerhouse of essential vitamins and minerals while at the same time gently detoxing your body with all the blood-cleansing, toxin-binding chlorophyll they contain.
Just like the name implies, a green smoothie detox involves concentrating your diet on primarily fresh fruits, vegetables and healthy real foods like nuts and seeds for a minimum of 3 days while eliminating sugar, simple carbs (white flour & rice) and alcohol.
The easiest way to do this is to get your hands on some detox-ing green smoothie recipes and incorporate them into your diet for a few days. We must warn you, though – they get addicting. You’ll probably be drinking them well afterwards
Detox Step #3. Warm Lemon Water
If you don’t feel like a drastic change in your diet, drinking warm lemon water at the start of the day can be all the detox you need. Lemon contains an enzyme called D- Limonene that activates enzymes in the liver to promote detoxification.
The benefits of detoxifying with warm lemon water are awesome. Lemon juice not only aids digestion, it is also a diuretic that improves your bowel system, balances pH levels (which makes your body less prone to sicknesses), clears skin and even enhances your mood.
Detox Step #4. Milk Thistle
A milk thistle detox is unique because it focuses primarily on the liver. Since the liver is the primary organ for detoxification this makes a lot of sense. Proper liver function is key for a host of functions such as regulating cholesterol and improvement in how the body metabolizes estrogen so it can more easily be absorbed by the body.
To do a milk thistle detox, you simply have to procure milk thistle extract such as Thisilyn, and consume about 175 mg of it daily, to achieve the intended effect of detoxification. To achieve maximum benefit, couple it with a liver cleansing diet that includes a lot of garlic, grapefruit and green tea to sustain the effects.

Hi, i'm 18 - currently using fenugreek + saw palmetto + red clover extract and applying it topically on my breast. I can't stand the fenugreek smell, is there something i can swap it with or a brand that doesn't have the smell? And has anyone had success applying these extracts topically instead of taking it orally? if you do what combinations do you use?
Thank you

Hi. Having recently added SP to my nightly routine after a few days im getting chin pimples MUCH TO MY HORROR as i very rarely get pimples *sobs*
Now im open to.. WELCOMING even to weight gain from SP but bloody pimples...
Can someone explain what the hormonal implications of this is? Or if you have experienced this?
Thanks in advance

Hey folks. Sooo...I am brand new here. How the heck do I use this site. I'm a 34 A -- . And I have been reading about herbs. I was thinking about taking Pueraria Mirifica ( Kwao Krua), Fenugreek, wild yam, and saw palmetto all at the same time. Is this wise? And how much should I be taking? Also, sorry for all the questions, but where do you find all of these programs??

I'm currently just on maca cause nothing so far has worked even a little, and I have some leftover SP. Is the anti-androgen quality of SP going to be diminished with Maca since it balances hormones overall? Help please!

I'm not sure if this has been covered here or not yet. But I'd like to share some info about these two things. (I apologize if this HAS been covered.) This post will be mostly quotes and links. I don't have enough time right now to personally dive into this further, so I'll let the links guide you
Wild yam does have its benefits; help with anxiety, anti cancer benefits, menstration and menopause relief, blood sugar and cholesterol regulation, digestion aid, it contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, among other uses. It is rich in diosgenin, a PRECURSOR of progesterone, DHEA, testosterone, and the three human estrogens—estriol, estrone, and estradiol.
Taking wild yam internally, and even applying wild yam cream topically, or eating yams, your body doesn't convert the wild yam into progesterone. In order to raise progeterone levels using wild yams, it MUST be done in a lab. Keep reading
"Unlike soy and flax, for example, which contain plant-based estrogens (phytoestrogens) that are adaptogenic and converted into utilizable forms in the body, wild yam (Dioscorea barbasco) cannot be converted into progesterone in the body. The conversion can occur in a laboratory setting, however, and therefore, wild yam is sometimes used to synthesize the progesterone found in progesterone creams. The cream may technically be yam-based, but its active ingredient is not the wild yam itself but the USP progesterone that has been added." (2)
I may be wrong & out of line here, or just ignorant, but I never understood why some people take wild yam as a progesterone booster, unless they are using it for other reasons or JUST as a progesterone precursor and not to actually effect progesterone levels directly. If you're using it because you think it boosts your progesterone, see my links below and switch to a Bio-identical USP progesterone cream.
(1) **"Wild yam is a plant source for a saponin called diosgenin (the active component in wild yams), which can be converted in a laboratory into progesterone. However, your body cannot convert diosgenin into progesterone, DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) or any other sex hormone, and wild yam does not naturally contain any progesterone that your body can use. The progesterone that is made from wild yam is known as pharmaceutical progesterone because it only exists after a chemical conversion process has been performed in a lab.
So, wild yam products that say they contain "natural progesterone" -- and many do -- can be misleading because progesterone does not actually exist in wild yams, nor can your body convert any wild yam components into it." http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/05/06...nefits.htm
(2) **"Unlike soy and flax, for example, which contain plant-based estrogens (phytoestrogens) that are adaptogenic and converted into utilizable forms in the body, wild yam (Dioscorea barbasco) cannot be converted into progesterone in the body.
The conversion can occur in a laboratory setting, however, and therefore, wild yam is sometimes used to synthesize the progesterone found in progesterone creams. The cream may technically be yam-based, but its active ingredient is not the wild yam itself but the USP progesterone that has been added. For this reason, while the body may absorb wild yam extract through the skin, which may then confer mild effects on menopausal symptoms, results of research on oral and topical applications of wild yam extract have not detected a significant change in progesterone levels in the blood.
If you want the beneficial effects of bioidentical progesterone, make sure the ingredients on the label include United States Pharmacopoeia (U.S.P.) progesterone. U.S.P. progesterone is available in over-the-counter 2% creams as well as by prescription." http://www.drnorthrup.com/womenshealth/h...pic_id=129
(3) ** "Will Wild Mexican Yam produce the same benefits as natural progesterone?
No, it cannot. Wild yam is a repository of many wonderful substances, but wild yam and its extract cannot be converted by the human body into progesterone. Deep in the root of the Wild yam is fatty substance called diosgenin. Locked within it lies the natural progesterone molecule that must be synthesized out by a competent pharmaceutical grade laboratory." http://www.healthyhormones.com/faqs2.htm
(4) ** "You cannot get a significant amount of hormones from using creams based directly on wild yam or even by eating Mexican wild yam. Your body doesn’t have the chemical cofactors required to convert them into useful hormones. This has to be done in a laboratory. This hasn’t stopped entrepreneurs, though, from marketing yam creams as sources of various steroid hormones. Make sure the product you use is not just unprocessed Mexican yam, but instead a scientifically produced product using the highest pharmaceutical-grade USP progesterone." " It is rich in diosgenin, a PRECURSOR of progesterone, DHEA, testosterone, and the three human estrogens—estriol, estrone, and estradiol." http://www.smart-publications.com/articl...to-balance
(5) ** "A compound in wild yam, called diosgenin, is used as the basis for synthesizing several steroids, including progesterone and estrogen. However, diosgenin can be manufactured into progesterone only in the laboratory; the human body can't make that conversion. For this reason, diosgenin is better used as an antispasmodic." http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness...medies.htm

There's a lot more info out there, this is just all I had time to do. Feel free to search around

Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the for sale section, since it isn't really for sale at the moment.
I've been looking into making a huge shatavari powdered extract order and parceling it out into 200 gram portions. Shatavari is similar to fenugreek but without the maple smell, and like fenugreek (and unlike some other alternatives) studies show it to be completely nontoxic no matter how high the amount given. It is a 30% saponin extract meaning it's roughly 18:1, so you'd effectively be getting about 3.6 kg herbs (8 lbs.). Since it's an extract it also dissolves rapidly in water and is gentle on the stomach, unlike whole herbs. In a few seconds it becomes much like tea. You could use it in lotions too.
I was thinking of charging $15 plus shipping. Shipping should be fairly low since 200g is a small pouch that could go in a padded envelope. Assuming you eventually used a fairly high amount of 1,000 mg (~1/2 tsp) a day, equal to about 18,000 mg (~8 tsp or 2.5 tbsp) of fenugreek/shatavari, it would last about 6 months. I could also do 100g parcels. That's about half the cost of whole fenugreek, and about 1/4 the cost of whole shatavari. And it's much easier to take.
I would need about 70 people interested to make this worthwhile. So please post and let me know if you would consider some if I made it available. This would also go in my Curves Blend breast enhancement powder (sig). Those who wished to continue ramping up beyond the already high amount at the highest suggested amount of Curves Blend could instead add more shatavari extract on top of it.
It is also good for testicle and male hormonal & sexual support, so you could share it with your significant other as well. But don't worry about testosterone if you don't have testicles. Shatavari and a little maca is a nice combination, and you might consider getting him oysters now and then too. I have used quite a lot of both fenugreek and shatavari extract myself.

i was wondering if avacado oil would make a good 'carrier' oil for other herbs and extracts to be absorb transdermally(through skin absorbtion). after reading this article i would think so, since it is seen as being wonderful for skin.
"Avocados are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A, D and E, and can provide skin with deep moisture. The oil of an avocado is able to penetrate the skin with its thin consistency; it is also thick enough to serve as a protective barrier on the skin, much like a lotion." -http://www.livestrong.com/article/256792-why-is-avocado-oil-good-for-the-skin/
perhpas with the fatty omega 3's will help nourish breast area specifically if used as massage oil/carrier oil for other herbs being used topically in specific areas instead of being processed through liver/whole body. or perhaps one would want to take internally and externally at same time?
let me know your thoughts and/or advice

Does anyone have any advice for making my own cream? My idea was to look at ingredients list and active ingredients portions for a reputable NBE product and try to copy the proportions.
I just ordered:
PM
red clover
saw palmetto
fenugreek
wild yam
I will mix it into a natural cream containing vitamin E. Going to look for one without harmful chemicals.
Also, for creams, is cycling required? (e.g. I know that people cycle PM with less strong herbs - should I mix a PM cream separate from a cream containing the rest? Or can I mix altogether and just use it daily?)
