Isabelle,
In a Pueraria Mirifica program, what can one take during the luteal phase to increase progesterone? I realize that there are herbs like vitex, fennel, fenugreek, wild yam that increase progesterone, but if you had to choose, what is the best one?
Can one take progesterone cream instead of the herbs?

I'm slightly confused because I have read that fennel, other progestins and progesterone cream can stop growth. How can one increase progesterone without stopping NBE?

Your response would be appreciated.

Good morning Karen,

Yes, they know what they're talking about, and they don't need a lot of text to explain it. I always do feel a need to comment on medication though. I've seen pharmaceutical feminization regimes change over and over. Being around in the gender variant scenes, I could see a lot happening before evidence based treatments could pick up on it. Unfortunately, by that time, quite a few TSs had already died young.

Every 100th man is a tranny, and every 100th tranny is a transsexual. The 99 others were all very interested when I first grew boobies. It's unethical for doctors to help men with perfectly healthy bodies, who don't threaten to commit suicide if they don't get surgery. I guess that's why so many start reading this forum. Like you and me, they discover later that NBE is a way to lead a happy life, without worrying about the gender issues that started it.

Well, happy all right, but I don't understand what L-arginine is doing to me. Tomorrow, I will have completed the ramp up to 10 g, that's 20 capsules. It increases nitric oxide, and in the first two weeks, I got bored with porn, saw the number of good looking women in the streets triple, and developed a revived interest in the obscene corners of the tranny closet. For three days now, it's been different. I've had carb cravings, poor sleep, and started reading again. Picked up this book that I had put aside in August:

I prefer fenugreek. Scroll up a few posts to read how I time it. Wild yam may be better, but it's complicated to dose based on symptoms:

and it does other things on top of increasing progesterone.

Fennel is convenient for a little more progestin oomph when you need it, because you can make tea, which works fast on an empthy stomach. Vitex is another complicated one:

Read Ginie's program thread before you try PC. She advises to read the site of dr. Lee's hormone imbalance test too.

Girls take a few years to grow milk ducts on estrogens, before the tide of estrogens and progesterone every month shapes their breasts. Think of pebbles by the sea. After ten years of NBE and six years since my first growth, I'm still lengthening my milk ducts, but then I was born as a boy. I'll only start fennel when my milk ducts push my nipples out into the I-M cup range. Then I expect to need another couple of years before I fit any normal bras again.

The trick in cycling progestins or progesterone with PM is to keep the dose just above the level you need to prevent estrogen dominance during the luteal phase. You still take as much PM as you can for growth, but if you get a headache, increase fenugreek a little instead of decreasing PM.

OK so you prefer Fenugreek, good to know.
I think I will stay away from fennel for now until I'm done growing.
I read in the previous post that you take 2,500 mg of Fenugreek, Would this be too much for me during the luteal phase? Just so you know, I am female.
I also read that you take Goat's Rue.
I know Pueraria Mirifica is to be taken during follicular phase. Is taking Fenugreek and Goat's Rue (both during luteal phase only) okay?

Good morning Isabelle,

I don't know how you keep up with everything. All I'm trying to do is juggle Testim, Hops, and sometimes Fenugreek. I have to say that I'm getting better. At first the things that I felt kinda scared me but now I recognize them for what they are and I more "listen" than worry.

An example is I have my hops with water in the morning .... then about an hour later I apply my Testim ... well around 2-3 hours later, when I am at work, I get a little warm rushy feeling. That would coincide with my dialy testim ramping up in my body, and probably by then most of the Free T is going to estradiol and not DHT .... and this is probably (just guessing being a guy) a "hot Flash" of sorts .... getting to be kinda fun.

Then when I get home from work I usualy have hops with food. About 3-4 hours later I usually feel a "very slight headache" and I start too feel tired (funny but the morning hops give me energy while the later ones make me tired) By around 5 hours after my Hops/food I'm ready to sack out for the night.

I haven't had any FG or Licorice Tea the past two days ... I want to see what I have without any swelling. Sure feels like there's more "soft tissue" over both of my pecs .... and my nipples and areolas go from "SO SOFT" (actually my nipples stay kinda hard but the areola changes) to "Puffy and Rubbery". Nothing firm under either of the nipples .... and not yet feeling any "little shoots" or "discomfort" on either boob.

Energy levels, especially in the AM, are great .... no problems dealing with stress .... funny BUT I'm less emotional watching "tear jerker" movies than I used to be .... very even moods .... still love to put the top down and go through the gears .... as you mentioned "I don't know where all these great looking women are coming from" ... I'm even getting allot more flirty than I used to be .... I would like to sleep better at night .... something that I need to work on.

Strange stuff these hormones .... Big Grin

Hi cupcake,

Doses are proportional to body weight. I weigh 176 lbs. If you weigh 120 lbs, 1,700 mg would be the equivalent of my 2,500 mg. So far, in adjusting my fenugreek dose between symptoms of estrogen dominance and weight gain, I have found that the same rules as for women apply to me too. So I don't think you need to adjust the dose for gender.

Fenugreek together with goat's rue works great for me. You can take goat's rue in the follicular phase too. You just stop for a few days before and during ovulation. Fenugreek is for luteal phase only, unless you overdo the PM on days 9-11. Then a little fenugreek may suppress the headache.

Hi Karen,

That's good: starting the dialogue between your program and symptoms. For sleep, you can try a second dose of hops. I get sleepy after an hour, but that's over after a nap of half an hour or an hour.

That tissue behind your areolas will stay soft. The more rubbery glandular tissue develops like a volcano around the areola.

Good to know .... so far all I feel, if I feel around hard enough, are my ribs.

Still got time to turn back Big Grin but it is pretty wild how fat can move around and turn into 2 little rounded boobs in just 15 days Blush It's not like it's allot but I can cup my palms over them more than I could. Tongue

My program will be:
Pueraria Mirifica and Goats Rue (Follicular Phase)
After Ovulation:
Fenugreek and Goats Rue (Luteal Phase) and maybe Vitamin E?
I have read an article and in one of your posts also, that vitamin E increases progesterone in the body but I don't know how much to take?

Doses will be:
Goats Rue: liquid extract 3-4 ml a day (equal to 3,000-4,000mg)
Fenugreek: capsules 1,700mg (my weight fluctuates between 128-130lbs)
Is 1,700mg enough? Or do I need more?
Vitamin E: ????? (I dont know how many mg of this i should take,please help me)

I want to take Fenugreek just like you take it, all at once, 20 minutes before a meal.

For estrogen: Pueraria Mirifica
For progesterone: Fenugreek and maybe Vitamin E
For prolactin: Goat's Rue

Do I need to add anything else?

Ginie used vitamin E for this purpose. Maybe her dose is in her program thread. I normally avoid vitamin doses higher than the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA), but my current multivitamin contains 250 %: 30 mg α-tocopherol equivalents (45 I.E.).

My fenugreek dose is 2,500 mg. You need 2,500 * 129 lbs / 176 lbs = 1,800 mg.

You can start the program like this, but you may break out. If your skin gets oily, add an anti-androgen before you get acne. Spearmint tea may be enough. It may be useful to keep saw palmetto in the emergency cabinet. Use it only when you have androgen symptoms (oily skin, acne, scalp hair loss, facial or body hair, high libido, upbeat mood at a time of the month when you normally feel depressed). Continuous use may grow big thighs or cellulite.

After six months, the anti-androgen in PM, β-sitosterol, will be enough to keep the acne away. So don't buy a large stock of spearmint tea or saw palmetto. You may have a useful alternative in the kitchen or in your multi-vitamin already: peppermint, licorice, zinc, vitamin B6, pumpkin seed, flax, rye, barley, or other whole grain cereals.
