I went to the doctor today to follow up on some things. Two things:
1. I'm potentially hyPERthyroid, not hyPO. Holy cow, I'm so glad that got cleared up! I was going to do all this stuff to help stimulate my thyroid and I would have made everything worse, probably! Geez Louise.
2. I'm an entire inch taller than I thought I was. It makes me feel like a different person, because I was right on the high end of petite and I really liked being certified "petite." Now I'm technically no longer petite. Did I grow?
Anyway, I'm going to do my breast pampering routine today. It's a good day for it, too, because it's hot out. So it'll be nice to be topless for a while.

I've been doing research all afternoon. I'm not liking what I'm seeing! Radioactive iodine, removal of the thyroid... yikes!
Right now, only one of the two hormones they're concerned about is elevated. The other one has normal levels. So I'm okay for now, but they want me to get tested again in two weeks. If the levels of the one are still high, they want me to see a specialist.
Meanwhile, I found this: http://www.ithyroid.com/hypert_recovery_story.htm Fascinating! But reading this has also made me confused about whether my estrogen or progesterone is high. I thought it was my estrogen, but now I'm not sure... argh! Why does everything in the body have to be connected?

What the hell, ive just sent myself an email to remind me to have mine checked too as thryoid is highly implicated in SIBO too.
The ONLY approach to dealing with thryoid is going to be surgical or chemical.
We need to read more on beating it with diet.
Il take a lot at your link too

Definitely get it checked. As my doctor put it "Everyone hates the thyroid." It's so complicated and you definitely want to keep up to date on how it's doing!
Meanwhile, I need to start eating broccoli every day. It's got the stuff in it that you need to avoid for hypothyroid. Oh! I should eat some soy, too! I had good NBE success years ago when I had soymilk every day, and it slows your thyroid down! Need to get some the next time I get paid.

That's interesting. Shoot goes to show taking iodine if not sure I'd a bad idea...

Something I'm considering right now... I'm an inch taller than I thought I was. It's making me realize my weight isn't exactly ideal if I want to be successful at NBE. I might try to intentionally gain a few pounds... not a lot. This is just a notion I'm batting around for now; not taking it too seriously yet. I just wanted to make a note to myself here.

I did the math, and non-alcoholic beer is a much better value than BioSil. A BioSil capsule has 5 mg absorbed at 17% = 0.85 mg absorbed. Beer silicon absorption is at least 55%, so you only need to take 1.54 mg silicon to have the same effect. Beer is 22.5 mg silicon per 600 mL, so you need just 41 mL (0.17 cup). Even low doses of alcohol are carcinogenic, so non-alcoholic is a necessity.

I don't drink, anyway. Still, I've heard beer tastes horrible!

I went away for a few days to my brother and sister-in-law's big ol' house. It was like a vacation. I had so much fun and received lots of love and ate way too much. Way, waaaaay too much. I could tell yesterday with the way my shirt was fitting me that I'd overdone it one too many days. Sure enough, I measured my waist when I got back last night, and I've gained over an inch there. That's not like me. The only explanation I can come up with is I ate sugar while I was there, and because I generally avoid it, I was out of control with it and kept eating it and eating it.
My breasts look amazing right now, though! And I wasn't even doing my full routine for the past few days. I wasn't taking my supplements or eating specific foods and I did a truncated version of my breast massage routine. Still, my breasts seem to have filled out and perked up a bit. Maybe I'm in luteal. Although I supposedly haven't even ovulated yet. Hm... The only other explanation I can think of is that a combination of certain factors that I don't usually experience have affected my breasts positively, such as 1) weight gain, 2) sleeping surprisingly well, 3) tons of good feelings, and 4) general carefreeness.
Still, my waist is bigger (though my stomach is still pretty flat) and my skin looks ragged. I need to get back on the horse with my nutrition. I want to, even, as I feel quite gross. And I'm going to avoid eating after 6 religiously for a few days. That should get my waist back down to size.
