Am I imaging things or are there really multiple brands? If your corset can withstand that kind of pressure than I might buy from the same brand when I need a new corset, assuming I ever actually manage to close the one I already have. How long have you owned it? Maybe Corset story will let me know what brand actually makes it.
I have bought 3 corsets from them, the first last June and the other two in October. All three of them started with "WT-" and came specifically from their "waist training" line. They are very sturdy, with very strong nylon cord and can be laced very tightly. The first one I bought was 13.5 inches long (I'm 5'10") and the other two are 10.5 inches. The first one is a 28" and I bought a 26" and a 24" to follow after I could completely lace the 28" edge-to-edge.
Unfortunately I have had to stop for the time being (again) because lacing them tightly aggravates the herniated disc in my back. I do, however, recommend their waist training line for anyone would is serious about corset training their bodies. I also suggest waiting for their sales (I got two of the corsets for half price).
