Just to clarify there is no such thing as "extra-virgin" coconut oil; this is simply a commercialized statement for oils stemming from the popularity of extra-virgin olive oil thus companies are now being prohibited from stating that their coconut oil is "extra virgin" as it can only truly be virgin oil.
That being said coconut oil is extremely beneficial when used both externally and internally. It is an antibacterial and antifungal thus makes an excellent addition to an anti-candida diet and combats acne when used topically. It is readily absorbed by the skin so if it is added to any kind of NBE product it will act as a carrier oil. I use it for my massages as well as face masks to enhance the absorption of other nutrients.
