No. They really do not. At all. Any effect they DO have is going to be from adaptogenic properties only.

you mean it only works topically by applying cream ,it doesn't work orally ?

No... I mean it doesn't have a direct effect on hormones in the human body at all. It can, in some people, have VARYING effects based on factors that are not yet wholly understood. And it seems to have effects both topically or ingested, though it's not wholly understood if they're even the same effects or if they're different.

There isn't even any progesterone at all in wild yam. There's diosgenin, which THROUGH A LAB can be manufactured into any hormone in the human body. It can be turned into through specialized equipment: estradiol, estrone, testosterone, dheas, androsteniodone, progesterone, cortisol, etc!

But ingestion or topical use of diosgenin does either nothing or might be involved in the observed adaptive properties of the herb. But does not actually change ANY hormone levels at all.
