I was wondering if its absolutely needed to sleep in the corset for a perminent reduction? In wearing it 8-12 hours a day at the moment, and can only really tolerate just a little over an inch reduction so far. I tried sleeping in it, i didnt sleep -,-

This was from a few months ago but I just started waist training myself (thanks to lurking on here for a while lol). 8-12 hours a day should be sufficient, you don't have to wear it to sleep as you've worn enough during the day. You probably won't get permament results unless you've been training for a while, years probably, depending on your routine.
hth!

It probably isn't permanent (though anything is possible) it does take years to reposition your ribs. Have you left the corset off for at least a day? I don't suggest trying but most likely you would "snap back", permenant gain in corsetry is virtually impossible unfortunately =\ check out this blog, this chick knows her stuff

umm it is perminent, i didnt use my corset for over a month but kept the inch loss. And even now i only use it 4-8 hours a day 2-3 times a week. but ive still managed to comfortable lace down the full 4 inches. Also, perminent inch loss isnt that uncommon, as it can help control over eating so naturally you'd lose weight
my ribs havnt moved as far as im aware, my waist has gotton smaller, but yea i imagine that would take years to achieve.
also thanks for the article, i read that before i started waist training

Wow this is amazing. i am really interested in starting this now actually. I am 5'3 and really square. I have a very short torso for my height and a very big one compared to my body. Seems like people have been having good lucky with corset stories so i think i will start there. Does anyone have a belly button piercing? Does it make it reject faster or irritate it more? Also good luck and congratulations on people making or getting there progress.
I would also like to share this video link.

personally i think the girl in blue's waist is too skinny for meand just looks kinda gross. But it's still interesting to see and the amount it actually does to someones waist. I love the girl in yellows waist
