Thank you Malina,
Today I only drank herbal tea too, mostly goat's rue. Yesterday and today were not too bad: 82.0 kg in the morning. But I just ate two hamburgers with white buns, together with my younger daughter, and drank two Belgian size beer glasses (12 oz.) of blackcurrant smoothie she made.
The problem here are the carbs: like you, I should skip the white buns and the sugar in the smoothie, and keep only the protein, veggies, and a small amount of fruit. That should be good enough. Anyway, I'll have another dinner with the kids tomorrow, and the rest of the week, it will be back to an austere regimen: at least four half an hour walks a day, herbs and teas, eggs or ham or cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, and a hops porridge in the evening.
I'll be more critical of that porridge from now on: there's hops, flax, and oat flakes, but also milk, sweetened breakfast cereals, raisins, and honey, because the hops is just too bitter. Two days ago, I decreased honey from a tablespoon to a third of that, and tonight's will be without the breakfast cereals and the raisins. Come to think of it: I'll take an extra dose of fenugreek now, to get rid of the simple carbs faster.

It can be really rough when you have all the loved ones in your life accidentally taunting you with all the yummy things you could be having... But getting to the place when you could cut out snacking alone will still do wonders for you as long as you can leave the table before you're absolutely stuffed. Also, who can really give up burgers and beer, that's crazy talk
My boyfriend buys these amazing IPA buns at a bakery. He's a foodie and cooks very well and very often. What I do is, I will have mah burger with mah bun for lunch, but take it really easy for dinner and not eat any carbs. If he wants to eat those burgers in the evening, I'll pull a skinny model thing and eat my burger without the bun... with salad, but still have a beer. You can't give it ALL up, or you will never ever last. The most important thing is to know that you're making a decision to eat something, and not be in the place where you want it so bad that you can't stop yourself.

I already taught my elder daughter and my son to eat healthier, but my younger daughter still has a sweet tooth, and her willpower seems to be stronger than mine.
After we finished the smoothies, my son came over from my ex's house where he had baked scones for school tomorrow. He offered me two, but I had to say no, or at least say I'd rather eat them tomorrow. Ouch. That hurts. I only see them two days a week. They are such sweet kids, and they really want to do something nice for their dear old hermit dad.
Thanks for the bakery tip. Last week, at least I got brown buns instead of white ones, and quark instead of ice cream. I'll do a better job shopping for groceries tomorrow

Yeah, your situation is a bit tricky. It's hard to say no to your kids especially since you don't get to see them as often as you'd like. Perhaps, spoiled rotten around kids, and spartan the rest of the time?

Absolutely right, Malina,
I want the kids to enjoy their dinners here. I'm slightly overweight, but most of that is muscle from my gym days, actually, and I'm in excellent health. So it's just not right to give them an example living as if I had diabetes or cardiovascular disease.
Today is my tape day, and I managed to keep my weight down at 82.0 kg. Breast circumference is the same, 45", but my under bust circumference has decreased to 37", which means I have achieved my ultimate goal of a US 42D bra size! Body Mass Index (BMI) is down to 25.7 again, and Waist Hip Ratio (WHR) is down to 0.84.
I'm really pleased with this result, but it also means I better keep my program as it is, so staying at a high maca dose.
Height: 178.5 cm = 5 * 30.48 + 10 * 2.54 = 5' 10"
Weight: 82.0 kg * 2.2046 lbs/kg = 181 lbs
Body Mass Index (BMI): 82.0/1.785/1.785 = 25.7
Breast: 114 cm = 45 "
Under: 94 cm = 37" Difference Breast - Under = 114 - 94 = 20 cm = 8 ", US bra size 42D
Waist: 85 cm = 33" (really close to 33 1/2)
Hip: 101 cm = 40" (actually the widest part around my butt)
Waist to hip ratio (WHR): 85/101 = 0.84

Thank you, NoSoBusty and Pansy-Mae,
I feel boobie greed. Today, I ran out of maca and goat's rue, but the next batches are ready for a fresh start tomorrow
The average doses were:
Maca
2012-02-06 300 g in 23+31+29+6=89 days = 3,400 mg.
Goat's rue
2012-02-06 200 g in 14+29+6=49 days = 4,100 mg.

Wooooohooooo! Congratulations, Isabelle, and thank you, for generously sharing and helping us ladies here. Just want to let you know that your program is helping me. I'm on the same NBE regimen as you, except I lowered the dose on some components: 20 grams oats, 7 grams flax seed, 2.3 g hops, and about 2.3 g fenugreek. Hubby commented that my breasts feel swollen and yet, nothing major registers on tape. Sooo...something is moving and working.
Thank you, and thank you. Let us know what you are going to do for maintenance.
