Stem Cell Breast Enlargement

Hello,
I am new techincally new to the forums but have been lurking for some time now. I just had breast enlargement using stem cells performed and because I noticed a few months ago that several members of this forum were interested in this procedure, I've come back to answer any questions anyone might have. I've tried all types of NBE, from pumps to PM to BO...pretty much everything! My breasts grew some, shrank some, and so did my weight. This surgery seemed just right and I have no regrets at all. If you go in with reasonable expectations, you will probably not be disappointed. I was around a B cup pre surgery and right now it is 3 days post op and my boobs are probably around a large D (not my final size). Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions.

Oh that's great. How much was the procedure and how long until your desired cup size finally comes... and stays?

Hi,
Mu surgery cost a little less than $7000 (I'm from California and had to go out of the country for this procedure) and the fat absorption is to stabilize at around 3 months. The doc said he can predict around a C cup, maybe more if I eat well and help my stem cells become nourished.

Ohhhhh. That sounds a little risky. Like if it didn't work..
What made you decide to do that instead of just breast implants because it's around the same price you just get it faster.

I think that's a personal decision. For me at least, implants look way too unnatural. The doctors say that at least 1 cup is increased, but you're right - this is a fairly new procedure and nothing is guaranteed. I did much research prior to this surgery, however, looking at Cellport's website and their before/after pictures, as well as others who perform this surgery in the country I am in right now. I also looked into Dr. Coleman's (in NY) fat graft breast augmentation procedure and stem cells seem more guaranteed. I can post pictures of my progress if anyone is really curious. I may go back for a second surgery if I am not happy with my size a few months from now - I think $3k for a second procedure.

Oh that's quite expensive. But it may be worth it.
I went to the site. Did you go to China for this operation?
Oh please post pictures.
I may consider it.

I honestly believe it is worth it. Finding this surgery was heaven sent for me, since I've spent years trying to enlarge my breasts naturally without finding any one exact solution. Cellport Japan is one of the few clinics that offers this procedure in the world but at $26,000/surgery, I could not afford it. I went to South Korea to have this done. I am an American citizen but am lucky enough to have family that lives here. The doctor, however, can read and understand English just fine - he answered all of my e-mails that were in English. My pictures won't be available until next week (the doctor only took my before pictures) but would you like to see additional photos from the other stem cell specialists I've spoken to in South Korea, including the pictures from my surgeon?

fat transfer
February 15 2008, 1:30 PM
Are you talking about fat transfer? Where they take fat from one part of your body and place it in your breasts? There are some doctors in the U.S. that do that, but they dont call it stem cell enlargement. I know its called a few different things, but its basically fat transfer. That is way better than implants, but I read like 70% of the fat dissolves, so you never really know what you will be left with. Please tell me if this is what you are talking about. I was thinking about getting it done too.

I haven't been formally checked for estrogen dominance or not - sorry! I can only e-mail pictures I think.
No, this is not regular fat transfer - completely different. I made sure of that before I had this procedure done. I think regular fat transfered from one area to another can calcify and look like a tumor. The stem cell usage for breast enlargement was regularly intended for breast cancer patients who have had mastectomies - many articles should be available on the net. You're right - transferring JUST FAT is available in the US, pioneered by Dr. Coleman from New York. Some Korean surgeons offer this procedure but unless they're as skilled as Dr. Coleman and can inject the fat in the right areas so it has a blood supply, I'd rather choose the stem cell procedure. I think Coleman charges around $18,000 for the procedure - a bit too much for me. Fat was liposuctioned from my body, stem cells were derived from the fat, and a mixture of fat (used as a carrier) and stem cells were injected into my breasts. The mixture was 50% fat, 50% stem cells and according to the doctor, at least 50% of my size will remain.
50% survival rate isn't too impressive compared to the 30% offered by the regular fat transfer procedure, but this is a minimum percentage and I believe that the stem cells have a better chance of surviving (by creating their own blood supply) than the regular fat cells (need to be injected precisely in the right areas - near a pre-existing blood supply). For me, I took care of 2 problems with this procedure - I got bigger breasts (although I will not the know the final size until May-ish - can keep anyone who is interested updated) and I removed the extra bulges of stubborn fat from my body.
This is a pretty jumbled post - it's late on this side of the world. I hope this helps!

What if your extremely skinny with not much fat?
Are their any health requirements?
How long did u have to stay in korea?
What excactly did u have done in steps and how long did it take?

Liposuction alone can cause natural breast enlargement - esp when from the abdomen. Search for Finzi - liposuction induced breast enlargment.
Candian lady: This may also add to your results maybe? I'm not sure.
I've never heard the stem cell thing being so cheap, I might actually consider it for real now. Could you tell me the name of the surgeon? I'd be very grateful

As big as my thighs are I would never think about getting lipo, there's so many other things I'd rather do with that money... Interesting about the stem cell though, I think it would be great to increase the size naturally but with all the hassle of going to another country and stuff I would probably have just gotten implants then as it would have been easier. Come back and let us know later down the line how well it worked though SHJfromCA. Good luck

Ive read in this forum somewhere that some European countries do this, but I doubt it would be cheaper than $7k. I trust this doctor who performed my procedure I asked him lots of questions, asking many that I already knew the answers to, and he was really on top of things. He spoke of the original Japanese doctor who pioneered this procedure and they use the same technique CAL (cell assisted lipotransfer). I also asked why the price in Korea is so much cheaper than in Japan. Everything in Japan is extremely expensive, but the procedure is exactly the same. I e-mailed Cellport Japan and asked them many questions too, and everything matched up with my Korean doctors answers.
If youre skinny without a lot of fat, the surgery would be harder to do, but the doctor has told me that a woman as small as 43 kg (less than 100 pounds) successfully had the procedure done. I am here for 10 days, but I think you only need a week. I had more lipo done than necessary because thats what I wanted, but about a 1000cc (1 kg or 2.2 pounds) is removed for the procedure. I was in surgery for a VERY LONG TIME from 2 pm to 1:30 am. They did some blood work before the procedure and that was it. I will post the exact details of the procedure a bit later when I have more time!
Hehe I am from California, not Canada =] but I could see how the two can get mixed up!
Yes, because the fat cells have been permanently removed from my trouble spots, the other, non liposuctioned parts would get bigger if I gained weight. I really like this idea, however, any other non liposuctioned areas have the potential to get bigger now, not only my boobs. The doctor said I dont need to gain weight, just stay the same and eat well so the stem cells have a better chance of surviving and turning into healthy breast tissue. I don't want to get bigger.
My doctors website is
www.paean.co.kr but everything is in Korean. I suggest you check out Cellport Japans website and research the CAL procedure first (google search). It is in English and very informative. Also read up on Dr. Yoshimura, founder of this procedure.
As for the lumpiness, I was concerned about this too, but I think this is if the fat is suctioned from areas where the skin is too tender and soft. My doctor said the front of my thighs and the upper portion of my inner thighs have the potential of skin rippling, so he lipoed only a little/not at all from these areas. I am young (24 in a few days) and I wasnt mordibly overweight, so my skin should shrink to the new width.
I will post my pictures next week.

HI SHJfromCA (California!)-
Sorry I was a little sleepy when I was writing last night!
Actually, the liposuction induced breast enlargment, is thought to be due to hormonal reasons. Stored body fat produces estrone within itself - an estrogen. The body is thought to compensate for the loss of this supply, but producing more - resulting in breast enlargment. I think there's a little more too it than that, but I don't remember exactly. It's sounds convincing though (although anything slightly scientific sounding could probably convince me!

)
But of course, your right also, if you gain weight it's obviously going to go to non- liposuctioned areas.
I wondered, how long did you need to stay in hospital for? What do you think the minimal time would be that you could complete the whole surgery in and set off home?
I suppose the cost but be more if you got more than one area liposuctioned?
Will it cost you $3k for any other additional surgeries? if you had more than one?
Thanks for coming to the forum to share your experience, you're helping a lot of people.
xx

Re: Stem Cell Breast Enlargement
February 16 2008, 9:01 PM
Ohhh hormonal reasons - I had no idea. If that's the case, then that's great! I look forward to bigger boobs =] Is there a link to an article I could read about? I'm really curious!
This was an outpatient procedure - was in the hospital for a consult at around 11 am, had to leave to get x-rayed and ate lunch, got back to the clinic by 2 pm, and I was first lipo'ed, then had to wait a few hours while they were getting the stem cell/fat solution ready. I was completely done by 1:30 am.
I think 7 days MAY be the minimum but I can ask the doctor. Of course, the longer you stay, the better. When I went for my first followup, they put me under this huge laser thing (painless) and it really relieved a lot of pain I felt from the lipo'ed areas. After the laser treatment (about 1 hour), they massaged my body with this contraption bu hand - this hurt because I'm still pretty bruised up but I felt pretty good afterwards.
Actually, to get enough fat from one area is tough, so more than one area is usually lipo'ed. I thought my thighs had enough fat to supply for 100 surgeries but this wasn't the case. In fact, my thighs alone didn't have enough fat to suffice for the procedure. About 1000cc (1/10 of a liter) of pure fat is needed. I had a little over 2000cc removed (a lot - from my inner/outer/anterior thighs, waist) - figured do all the lipo now instead of having additional work done. This didn't cost extra for me but my dad (yes, I went with my DAD - very embarrassing) talked to the doctor for me and made sure the price didn't exceed the initial amount.
Yeah it's $3000 for a second time and the doc told me he's never had a patient come back for a third. Even a second is rare is what they said but Koreans aren't into really large boobs and are happy with just a little volume (not the case for me since I'm from Cali =[). The nurses told me that even a C cup is considered pretty huge! I MIGHT be back for a second and I may not even be a good candidate for a third. This is because there is only so much fat your body can supply for this surgery - no matter how fat you are, even though harvesting the fat may be easier if you're bigger. Cells are cells and once they're gone, they're gone!
You're welcome - just wanting to help those who are like me - tried various methods, grew a bit but didn't have consistent results. But I really appreciate the time I spent with NBE - I learned a lot and even discovered this procedure through this website.

Hi there,
here's somthing about the liposuction induced breast enlargement:
http://www.cosmeticsurgery.com/articles/archive/an~227/
http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/bs...9/art00007
I haven't got the links directly to the original journal articles, as you have to be athens registered, but I can email them.
Also, have you heard of Fat transplantation using brava. Brava is suppose to keep the breasts well circulated to prevent the fat dying away. Can't find the link, although it's somewhere on this forum. The results look pretty impressive. I'd be tempted to try it together with the stem cell treatment - but on the other hand, I wouldn't want to risk the chance of it interferring with it.
Does the clinic you visited have a webpage by the way?
Do you think you will have enough fat left for a 2nd op, should you need one?
Thanks!!

Ohh could you e-mail them to minitea@gmail.com?
Yes, I've heard of Brava and MAY consider using it. But for at least 1 month after the procedure, I'm supposed to be gentle with my boobs so the stem cells can be at their best. Brava can be pretty abrasive, no? Like leave bruises? I used to (unsuccessfully) vacuum my breasts and that alone left ugly, bruised, painful rings. And can Brava be used for people who are a C cup or larger? I'll ask the doctor about this tomorrow.
The clinic's webapge is
www.paean.co.kr
If I have enough fat - that the doctor can't be too sure of. Right now, no one can tell I had lipo because I'm so swollen and bruised. The doctor didn't do open incision drainage for my lipo because he said Asian skin tends to scar easily. He said open drainage is better for Caucasians. I guess I'll just have to wait until a couple of months after all the puffiness goes away.

Oh and I asked the doctor about using Brava after the procedure - he said it may help bring blood to the area (I'm not very good at Korean so I couldn't understand everything), hence help keep the new cells alive...I think. Anyway, wouldn't hurt to use Brava but he also said the cells will survive just as well on their own. You can e-mail him here if you have more questions: czech91@naver.com

Re: Stem Cell Breast Enlargement

I will post them as soon as I get back to the States...later this week sometime. About 3 months from now, the fat absorption should stop.
I think it depends on where you get lipo'ed. I had fat removed from all over my thighs - front, back, outer, inner - and my waist. Because I had fat taken out of the backs of my thighs, it's hard for me to sit and even go to the bathroom. The compression garment is the most uncomfortable (I need to wear it 24/7 for 2 weeks and about 1/2 the time afterwards for a few more weeks). It's exactly 1 week post op and I am still in pain (getting better little by little everyday) and very swollen and bruised. But I did not undergo open-incision drainage, as the doctor told me Asian skin tends to scar easier than Caucasian skin. Closed-drainage takes double (or more) the amount of time for the swelling, bruising, etc. to subside, so unless you're Asian like me, I don't think I'm a good example as to how long it would take for the post op uncomfiness to subside. Also, I am not sure if open-drainage is fit for only Caucasians - all I know is that's it's not very good for Asian skin.
My breasts don't hurt as badly as the areas that were liposuctioned. They are still full and bandaged up in the places where the fat was injected. They were really high and hard right after surgery but they are starting to fall and getting softer.

Re: Stem Cell Breast Enlargement
February 19 2008, 12:53 PM
Sure - I will after I get back to the States (later this week). Yes, the fat should stabilize around mid-late May but I am planning on keeping track beyond that time.
I am still in pain and swollen, however, I didn't have have open-incision draining because the doctor told me that Asian skin tends to scar easily. If you are not Asian, you may be a candidate for open-incision draining that will cut the healing process in half. I was able to walk the next day, but because I had fat removed from the backs of my thighs, sitting and even going to the bathroom is still painful, but getting better everyday. The doctor told me I should be OK after 2 weeks and that my compression garment can be removed and worn for half the time by then as well.

Re: Stem Cell Breast Enlargement

I think what happens is that during closed drainage lipo, the fluid doesn't drain out of the incisions. The body, after time, reabsorbs the fluid and it exits other ways. This usually takes longer than open incision drainage. It's less messy because I am not leaking fluid and I don't need to buy any extra pads to soak up the liquid. Also, I hear with closed incision that there is less chance for infection. Healing is slow but it's a little over one week post op and I am feeling MUCH better, although sitting is still painful. Doctors use both methods, although in America, I believe open incision is more popular.
