I did find somewhere that sells actual nylon lacing, they sell it for 90 cents a yard, and I'd need 7 yards a corset apparently (that's what the replacement underbust cord from TT measures). So my cost would be nearly 13 dollars to replace both corsets cords with nylon.

But we'll see how well the stock cord holds up first I guess. I don't really intend to go TOO overboard with it.

Holy cow, girl, you got a corset??? Wtf, where have I been?!?? Damn Windows 8, breaking my brand-new computers and keeping my from this site! Haha!
I haven't had time to read all these posts here yet, but plan to after the weekend. I still need to e-mail some questions to Corset-Story! I really need a new corset! I think this thing is on its last legs! Lol!
So glad you jumped on the bandwagon, you should upload some pics for us to see! Love the corsets you picked out! The more corsets I see the more I loathe my own! ^^;

Win8 Ugh... Windows 8 should be considered a MFG defect
Well. There was never a question that I was going to be jumping on, the only question had been WHEN. Well. We now have the answer. TOMORROW! Giggle.
Sorry to hear about your corset...
Good luck with Corset-Story. Lucy actually helps sell TT corsets, (And she looks so fabulous in her TT corsets too!) that's part of what made my mind up about which off-the-rack to go with.

Hi all,
I have been wearing corsets for several months, tight-lacing with the goal of transforming my waistline and figure from male to female. Most people starting out have difficulty trying to figure out how to put on and tight-lace a corset (particularly by themselves). I have it down pretty well so I thought it would help some newbies if I make a video and demonstrated how I do it.
Here it is... I appreciate any feedback!

The Turd brought me prezzies!
Two unsuspecting brown boxes arrived just a short time ago... One was significantly smaller and more square and contained my new school smock. Nothing interesting there, but moving along... What could this rectangular box be hiding hmmm?
So I slit the box open and here's what we see:
Spread out:
And the corsets are revealed:
I must say I like the feel of these things. They have real bulk to them and feel great. Definitely nothing fragile here. I haven't tried them on yet, but rest assured, that's coming soon! Probably not with pictures of me wearing them though.

No matter how much I try I cannot get my corset to tighten with only pulling on the middle. The directions with the corset say to pull in three spots, so I'll have to try and figure out how to do it according to the TT directions.
It's a pity too, because that would have made it soooo much easier!

Wow, that is unfortunate. I suspect it is probably the material of the cord. Can you tell what it's made of? All three of the corsets I got from Corset-Story lace just fine by pulling the cords, but all three of them have the same cord.
Good luck and have fun! Don't try to wear the corset too long to start... it's better to work up to your 23/7 goal.

It's definitely some sort of polyester. It's absolutely not nylon but it's not quite like cotton either. Guess I'm ordering me some nylon lacing from Dragontown!
For now I'll try to work out how these instructions from TT are supposed to work...
And yeah... I'm definitely going to work up. Number one, my corsets need worked in first anyhow!
