But yes it was somewhat hairy but we were told to expect the worst so prepared as such, it hit the town 2 hours up from us the worst and we were spared aside from some horrendous wind I think it pays to be prepared these days. Mother nature is an angry predictable beast as of late!

Yes she is, she will swallow you up like nothing. I've been in one in the South Pacific near Guam and a few hurricanes and a tornado or two and it was pretty hairy too.
