So I've been basically measuring myself, and last time I did I got 28 in. for my bust. I looked in a mirror and made sure the tape was strictly level to the floor. But when I lamented this to friends, they insisted I did something wrong, because nobody has a 28 in. bust, and if I did it wasn't a bad thing. (it is in fact a bad thing, I have to wear XS shirts and they're actually getting bigger, when I'm staying the same! And nobody has a 28 inch bust!)
Of course they all suggested going to a tailor or a bra-fitter, but I have no money or time (or even a reason, really) for that. The only store I know of that even does bra fittings is Victoria's Secret, and I've heard some horrible things about the fitters actually telling you to get the wrong size because your size isn't available (that, and I have asthma and can't walk into VS).
Was I really measuring myself wrong, and should I just go to a tailor? Are they pretty much going to tell me the same thing I already know?

. i slowly grew to 32.5 inches, and although BCP isn't NBE the growth was slow and only by keeping written track of my growth did i notice any real changes. and with noogleberry this past month i have gained another .5 inch putting me at 33". every little bit counts, every quarter inch counts. growth may be slow but if you track your progress month to month, or every few months write it down, over time, you'll see there is growth that you didn't notice in the flesh.
