SLIMMING the Waist

#1

The "hourglass figure" is the most attractive body shape. A woman needs large breasts, a small waist, and just the right amount of fat in her hips/buttocks.

I know Maca Root is good for increasing the size of the hips/buttocks. What about slimming the waist? Does anyone know of the best herbs for slimming the waist? I was thinking saw palmetto, fenugreek, and fennel would be the most effective for slimming the waist. What are your opinions or experiences?

Personally, I need to lose 2 inches off my waist, to have the ideal WHR ratio of 0.68-0.7.

Hi GorgeousBlonde,

My waist started slimming when I stopped taking glucosamine. Glucosamine can cause insulin resistance.

Look for everything that increases insulin sensitivity: fenugreek, goat's rue, and nigella sativa (black seed, black cumin):

Two posts down from there, there is an extremely interesting post by lled34aa, who has studied visceral fat intensively, because of her PCOS. Avoiding fast carbs helps her.

Wahaika also writes FG increases insulin, and that may deposit fat in the "spare tyre" around the waist again. So GR and nigella sativa may be safer.

The experience of lled34aa is that you need to keep both insulin and cortisol in check. I noticed that too at work: the more stressful my boss' job was, the bigger his spare tyre.

So avoid fast carbs to avoid shooting insulin into your blood stream. Build insulin sensitivity. Avoid stress, to avoid build up of your cortisol level. It takes three weeks of absolute zero activity on vacation to lower cortisol again. Keep progesterone low: cortisol is made from progesterone.
