Thank you lostacres6,
My degree is in chemical engineering. Sometimes, I wonder if NBE is at all a medical field. It looks more like a construction project. I have been a professional researcher for 25 years, so literature, experiments, and checking the scientific basis, are routine activites. I would love to do this for a living
Goat's Rue (GR) increases prolactin, so it causes swelling, and it improves insulin sensitivity, so it's a waist slimmer and an antidiabetic. The herb is toxic, but the tea is safe. I have used 4,500 mg a day for three months, and up to 10,000 mg on one day. There is no stalling dose.
Stopping GR after days or weeks will cause the results to deflate. The theory about swelling, though, is that stretched tissue grows in a matter of months. About the feeling of fullness, I don't know: I think it will always help to drink GR tea on the day of the party.
I know goat's rue extract and capsules are overpriced. So I just buy dried, chopped herb to make tea in a tea infuser mug. Other than cost, I have no problem with a maintenance dose. GR may not be the best example, but many other NBE herbs are just health foods. NBE teas just replaced the coffee and soda I used to drink.
