PM, menstruation

#1

Hi everyone,

About two weeks ago I received my PM in the mail from Thailand. I was so exited that I started taking it right away, without considering where I was in my cycle. From what I've read here, I should have waited until after my next period. Well, I didn't. I took it for about a week and then stopped, expecting my period to come around that time... and it never did.

It should have come by now, so where did it go? lol... How does a period spontaneously disappear, even when hormones are involved?

On a more serious note, is it possible that I've damaged myself? Should I wait to start taking them again until after it comes back? I feel like I really screwed up...

From what I've read you're suppose to wait until day 1 of your cycle which is what I'm doing also. I'm guessing the hormones just messed with your period but if it doesn't start soon then I would ask a pharmacist. I would say just wait until next month to start back up again. [/font]

Hey, thanks for the reply. It finally came yesterday! I was seriously starting to worry that I might be pregnant, which was a possibility.

Just some more details for the more anatomically interested among us, in case it helps someone. TMI warning (I'm serious, you might not want to read this unless you're actually going through the same predicament):

According to my very, very approximate timing, it came about 1.5 to 2 weeks late. I kept feeling like it was about to start, with slight cramps and serious gas... and I never get gas.:-/ It was dark brown, rather than red, leading me to believe that the fluid was already old. That's usually how it is toward the end, not at the beginning.

Messing with one's hormones is serious stuff. I'm almost afraid to start again, but I know it was just my poor management that caused this. Dodgy

Well good thing it came! Atleast it was a lesson learned =) And just to double check, we don't take any herbs during our period, right?
