So I took a break due to bad mental health Ive been honestly a mess but wont get too into it as Ive decided Im going to get stronger and accept myself and get back to my confidence I had many years ago because I deserve it, due to bad mental health and not eating much I lost another kilo and with that half an inch but I atleast kept half an inch of the 1 inch gain, you would think with all these tablets Im on 2 being mirtazipine and seroquel that I would be eating for 2 families lol but anxiety really does take a toll on appetite and Im now slimmer than Ive been in many years! just did my massage and took all my herbs for the first time in over a week, lets get back into it!

Just got back from my endocrinologist in Sydney and getting my estrogen pellet implanted, progesterone was healthy, estrogen low at only 500 and something which usually is 800 or more when I get a new pellet so will be getting my new one again in 10 months, testosterone was basically non existent at 0.7 and prolactin was high ish at 700 but dr says this is normal from the mental health medication Im on and from hrt, iron was very low which we are both baffled by as I was diagnosed with hemochromatosis many years ago leading us to believe it may have been a false positive so going to start taking iron supplements for alil bit. Vitamin D was healthy for the first time in ages I did not need a D shot so looks like my supplements are working! Dr was fascinated at my knowledge for herbs and hormonal information Ive learnt from all my years of research and from Lotus here on BN. So all in all a good day, cannot wait till my estrogen is stabilized again and Im no longer a hormonal mess! Lol

So Im considering adding stinging nettle to the mix! As from research the goal for girls like myself is to lower SHBG and this study suggests just that!
Urtica dioica is thought to bind to sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) via its polar extracts and cause elevated serum estrogen levels. The local estrogen bioactivity in breast tissue may subsequently lead to gynecomastia or galactorrhea
Very interesting and according to other research its supposed effect of also increasing testosterone is disproven/unfound so looks promising
In the meantime heres a lil pic of where the girls are at currently even after losing over 7 kgs, this bra is slightly bigger than my usual size and is more full coverage so the fact Im getting cleavage in it is amazing!  Tongue

Hi Busty, love the bra and the cleavage, here's what I have on stinging nettle FWIW:  Hug

Nettle Root-nettle root can interfere with or block a number these hormone-related chemical processes in the body that are implicated in the development of BPH. In clinical research, nettle has demonstrated the ability to stop the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (by inhibiting aromatase, an enzyme required for the conversion), as well as to directly bind to SHBG itself - thereby preventing SHBG from binding to other hormones. Other research also reveals that nettles can prevent SHBG that has already bound to a hormone from attaching to the receptor sites on the prostate, as well as to decrease the production of estrogens (estradiol and estrone) by inhibiting an enzyme required for their production. The effect of nettle root on dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels has also made it a treatment for hair loss, as male pattern balding has often been linked to an excess of DHT, as has hair loss in women too.

Thanks lovely! Oh wow well lucky I didnt buy it then! Dont want to decrease estradiol by any means I might just stick to buying the korean red ginseng I saw and like you suggested use ginseng in my program! Thanks so much for that important information will definitely give it a pass! Is there any other herbs you would suggest that I dont know of? My dr was very impressed with my knowledge of herbs and breast growth which majority I learned from you  Hug so any advice to add on something would be great!

My areolas and nipples are extremely sore more sore than I had with BO, massaging is painful, but then again I did just get a new estrogen pellet so my estrogen will have had a big surge, Im also taking extra hops both in capsule and tincture form as it really relaxes me and calms any anxiety I have which as we know hops is a potent estrogen source too. Hopefully this pain is a good sign!

So another one bites the dust! I will be ceasing wild yam internal intake as Ive been feeling horrid lately and after much research on what it could be I discovered that "Some experts think people with a history of depression or bipolar disorder may have side effects from using DHEA including mania and irritability." Mania and irritability are exactly how Ive been feeling *sigh* I really do wish herbs were more researched in regards to their mental health interactions and to think I just bought more well in the bin it goes I guess, will stick with my other herbs for now! Hops has definitely been helpful! Hopefully others read this as a warning for certain herbs interactions with your mental wellbeing its just not worth it, I WILL get my full F cups though, Im determined  Rolleyes

That's great news Busty, and I'm glad I've been able to help. Ginseng and vitamin D3 paired together make a strong aromatase combination. After further research more than likely American Ginseng with D3 is a better than Korean Ginseng. I'll post the research asap. Let me think about what else might work well with hrt.  Hug

Unfortunately the risk of ginseng bringing on/inducing mania is not a risk I can take as I dont want to make my mental health any worse Crying  if there is anything else Im all ears! Its a shame alot of herbs I have to steer clear of due to their effects on mental health but so far all the current ones Im on are good for anxiety etc! Though the hops tincture gives me crazy indigestion lol leave it to me to get side effects!
