Nerve damage from pumping

#1

I am afraid I may have caused some serious damage from pumping.  Does anyone know if nerve damage is repairable?

I only pump my left side usually due to asymmetry and started noticing my left arm feeling numb longer than usual.  I would wake up in the middle of the night to it numb and not going away.  Over the past year I've had a swollen lymph node and swelling on the left side of my neck and now my arm and leg sometimes feel a little dull and joints only on the left side hurt.  My doctor suggested a trauma may be creating these symptoms.

I am waiting on a referral for a cat scan and to see an ENT doctor.  As I wait, any feedback and knowledge is GREATLY appreciated!

Jen I know of someone who required a tooth extraction due to nerve damage on a tooth and they went to a homeopath, there’s a commonly used remedy (I brought it myself but cannot find it (off iherb) and it specifically works on nerve damage, you take it internally. For the sake of $15 it’s worth a try before you submit to the radiation involved in a cat scan

I think the hypericum is what I used for exposed nerve on a tooth. Works internally too.

I have read about similar complaints. Caused by always pumping with the same hand especially if your system has a small leak and you find yourself pumping a lot. Start using your other hand and see if this goes away.

Hi Jennifer,
I've been trying to understand the mystery of the noogleberry for some time now and have only been able to piece a few nuggets, with just logic and no real science.
Before I noogled I researched massage a lot, and its very interesting you mentioned the lymph nodes.
Surrounding the breast are a bazillion lymph tracts, and its necessary for good breast growth to massage your breasts, The massage (deer and chi) all rotate from top of the breast to the center, and into the armpit area.
This is to aid the lymphatic system to do its job. See pic.
So my suggestion would be to massage a lot after your noogle session and see if that helps.
And googling "lymphatic system massage" will give you a lot of good ideas about getting this wonderful drainage system to help it do its job better.

Well this is very discouraging to hear.  I am now thinking it may actually be damaged blood vessels but who knows.  Do you have a swollen neck and lymph nodes though?  I'm hoping they can somehow figure out what is going on.  I am getting very nauseous too.  Do you see an ENT specialist?

I read the opposite, that nerves to regenerate over time.   So you're saying that you haven't recovered at all??  Do you still noogle?

I eat very healthy but noticed when I drink coffee or smoke pot my neck swells up more and i get very ill.  This tells me it may have something to do with the constricting of my veins.

I thought I was doing the procedure safe by only pumping for a minute tops, then massaging and repeat but maybe I pumped too hard.  Very scary stuff.  I will never noogle again.  Tempted to just throw it all away.  Herbs are dangerous too though.  I think massage is the only way to go.

It is not usually pain.  Sometimes I will get a joint pain.  It is mostly a swelling in the neck and lymph node in my neck and under my jaw.  Both on left side only.  Then often extreme nausea and fatigue.  I am thinking it may be damaged blood vessels.  I hope the cat scan and ENT specialist can help.  I've been trying to treat this homeopathically for a year now with a super clean diet.  It may be keeping things from completely falling apart but it's definitely not healing!

You can barely see the veins on the left arm and yet they are super visible on the right.  My right hand swells more too.  I will be super upset if the cat scan cannot help.  Quality of life may be ruined if this cannot be treated and symptoms are only getting worse!
