You know what, you are so right! A few days ago, I was looking at a ring on a woman's hand (I look at people's hands a lot because I love to torture myself by pointing out to myself just how many people are married as evidenced by wedding bands yet I still haven't even had a boyfriend yet), and I was trying to figure out which hand it was on. I couldn't figure out if it was her right or her left hand. After a good fifteen seconds, I convinced myself it was her right hand. However, I kept staring for some reason. My mind wouldn't let it go. I finally realized it was her left hand. I'd barely eaten that day and I was in the middle of an intense cardio workout when this was going on (I'd also just come from two sort of mentally draining things, one of which was a therapy session where I cried a lot). So you're absolutely correct. My brain is definitely suffering from how I've been depriving myself.
