As always, Candace, you are so helpful. Thank you so much. I'll see what the Brita pitcher costs at my grocery store. The new filter every month thing was what made me wonder if just buying a case of water every week would be cheaper. I'd keep the pitcher in my room away from everyone else (I don't like cold, refrigerated water) to make it last longer.
I might even do a combo of both, depending on certain factors.
