BCP and breast growth

Hello everyone. I'm sure all of us have heard that BCP can sometimes, often even, cause breast growth, certain brands especially have that reputation, like Yasmin. I would like to ask you all about your experience with BCP. Which brand did you take? Did it make your breasts to grow? If you haven't been on BCP, have you ever thoguht about using it as a NBE method?
I have been on a brand that doesn't have the boob growing reputation and effect for some years and now I've decided to switch to Yasmin, for this reason and others (the old pill was making me tired like a zombie). And of course I'm hoping it makes my boobs grow, lol!

I was on Microgynon 30. Now yes i did have growth on it, i started taking it at 16, i would say i was a full A pos a B,wheni stopped taking it at 18 all growth wentand i lost more than i had originally beofre bcp,i dont blame stopping the pilll, i also lost alot of weight so a factor of the 2 things for me i think.
Iv herd from a number of people this has happened to them also.
I went to the doc, and she gave me 3 months worth of it and said i could take it to get a cup size.
But im on cotraception in my arm and didnt want to o much bc in me.
+ I had a big appitite on the BCP so decided better not to take, and no point taking if boobs just go anyway.

But in contradicition i do know lots of girls who also were on this pill who have massive breasts and still do

I took microgynon from ages 17-19 and possibly did see some growth but my weight's always been up and down and at that age possibly normal to still be developing (even though I've had regular period from age 11 and not grown much in height since then). I did get quite chubby then after stopping the pill I dieted down to 101 pounds and was basically a stick with a fat arse. Then I got fat, up to 135 pounds and almost had some boobs - at least was filling the 34A with cleavage and puffy tops (but had fat belly, love handles etc), now (age 25) down to approx 120 pounds and have def lost I imagine an inch or so (but never measured) and back on microgynon for 2 months which has fixed my skin and period pains but doesn't really affect my appetite.

All we need now is some way to increase fat (or swelling or water or anything else!) on boobs without increasing everywhere else - pear shape's just not fair!!

Aren't a lots of the different pills just brand names containing the same stuff?

Louise, not quite. Most of all pills contain the same estrogen - ethynyl estradiol, but they vary in the progestin. Here's a chart:

Just look at the one in Yasmin and the one in Microgynon and the doses - it's clear that they must have very different potency.

Looking at the chart I assume the EE is the eostrogen - what do the other things mean? Looking at this would you think a different brand would be more likely to promote growth? I'm abroad at the moment so not got my BNF pharmacy book with me.

EE is ethynyl estradiol, DRSP for example is drospirenone (you just google the brand name and progestin and you get the full name). I think the surest way to tell which pill is most likely to promote growth is look into practice - at emyprical evidence, and that says it's Yasmin. Yasmin contains a progestin at a very low dose comapred to other, which must mean that this particular progestin must be a lot more potent.

Yasmin sounds like its worth a try, and you say it also blocks testosterone which I think I need as since I came off the pill the first time I've developed more facial hair and bad skin, the skin has improved an amazing amount with microgynon and the hair's difficult to say as I'm a very fussy waxer. Is changing brand likely to make me ill? I've only ever had microgynon and never had any side effects. Also how can I tell the GP I'd like to change brands? An idea if the pill is available over the counter in continental Europe?

I'm from Europe and I can only get the pill on perscription. I switeched as I said because the one I was on before was making me tired. You could say to your gyn that you have some side effect with the pill your on to get another one (like headaches, depression or gaining weight, these are the most frequent). But know that side effects aren't that rare at BCPs so the brand that you're given might cause you some and then you'd be worse off and would have to switch again. Althgouh Yasmin is said to have the lest often reported negative effects, but that is no guarantee that you won't get any.

I've never had any side effects from medications, didn't feel ill with the morning after pill and I think that's quite strong....I'll have a think about Yasmin, I think weight gain may be the best excuse then if it causes probs I can always say I'd rather go back to microgynon and go on a diet! (Will look a bit odd considering I've lost about half a stone since they gave it me!) Thanks for the advice

Hello Moon.
BCP rarely makes your breasts grow permanently, it mostly causes them to swell, and once you stop taking it they deflate again.
I have been on different pills since I was 15, so for nearly 10 years. I did grow while being on the pill, but I would not attribute that growth to the pill but rather to breast growth during puberty itself and the growth I had was only minimal.
All my pills had some kind of anti androgenic action too as I am androgen dominant but they didnt really help much with the problem either.
I was on yasmin for over two years and never grew on it by itself either.
However, my herb routine seemed to work somewhat better while being on yasmin, I seemed to need less Fenugreek and maybe less anti androgenic herbs too, not sure about that as I switched from SP to Nettle when I started to get back on yasmin.
Yasmin was one of the best pills for me to take in regards to how well my body could deal with it and I had the least side effects, I experienced rotten moods on other brands too.

However, I would never recommend taking the pill in the hope of permanent breast growth as it really rarely happens and if it does generally only for younger girls who are still going through puberty.

While you are on the pill you may want to supplement with vitamin Q10 and vitamin E, I just read about a study where they found that girls on the pill had significantly lower levels of both than their peers who werent on BCP, and I have heard the same about vitamins in general.

Good luck, I hope it works for you, if only to boost things along a bit as I believe it did with me.

I've heard the combinend pill Dianette can cause considerable enlargement. However, it initally improves acne greatly, and then when you go off it - it comes back even worse.

Hi, haven't been here for a while, hope eveyone is ok. I just wanted to see if anyone is on the contraceptive pill 'cilest', my doc just changed me from microgynon to that & I'd like to know if anyone on cilest has had many side effects with it?! Also means I am now putting back my date to buy some wonderup as I have to wait 3 months to see if cilest works ok for me - hopefully it will or i'll need to change pill again & put back be again!

I've been on cilest for about 6 months now. I tried mycrogynon when i was 19 or 20, but it made me vomit. I haven't had any bad side affects from taking cilest. In fact my peeriods have shortened since taking it. My Doctor told me it is considered one of the lower dose pills and is therefore considered to be quite safe.

I'm just about to finish a four month supply of perfect C and after a break (4 weeks) will be trying wonderup. I didn't get any growth from perfect C. I'll keep you posted if i grow. I was concerned that cilest may stop wonderup from working so if after 3 months of wonderup, if i have no growth signs eg tingling etc, i will think about coming off the pill. I'm just too embarassed to ask my Dr for advice!!!

Anyway, cilest has been a good pill for me and i have found it better than mycrogynon....i hope it works for you

Thankyou, it's good to hear you are fine on cilest, I've only been on it for a week so far but have had a few headaches, I think it may just be the sudden switch in hormones, as cilest has more progesterone than microgynon did! I have asked my doc about wonder up & he said that it seems perfectly safe to take & shouldn't interefere with contraception. As for contraceptive pill affecting how well wonderup works I've read on the wonderup forum that people on microgynon have sometimes found no growth but once switched to a diff pill tried again & did grow!so I think cilest should be ok, hopefully you'll find good resutls with wonderup! My doc also said some people do get bigger breasts while on contraceptive pills - but only while taking them - if you stop they'll get small again - so he said to see if cilest makes thm bigger as it has done so for some other girls. I'll have to wait & see for a month or so! good luck with wonder up.xxx

Hi you guys well i took the birth control pill when i was 17 and my breasts grew from a B to a full C. After taking it for 6 months, my body became immuned to the effets of the birth control and went back down to its normal size a small B.
I am planning on taking wonderup soon and i was just wondering if you guys new for sure if wodnerup or birth control effected the way either one worked?

The confusion is whether the type of contraceptive pill you are on could stop wonderup working as well as it could - the verdict from the wonderup forum is that a few girls on microgynon found no results when taking wonderup but once they switched to a diff pill or came off pill & re-tried wonderup they DID get results! but there are also some girls who have said they were on microgynon & still got results with wonderup. Also there has only been info about microgynon - no others. Not sure if that helps really. I think I will start on wonderup soon, but give some time to check if cilest agrees with me 1st. I'm also thinking of some of the draw backs of increasing cup size cause if I have a control over making them bigger or not I don't want to make them bigger then regret it. xxx

i haven`t tried it out my self but i know that your breast can get a little bigger when you are on birth control pills, i am not quite sure how much but a little. But non of my friends have got much bigger boobs only if they gained weight. But it`s not permanent when you stop using the pills they will shrink again.

I was on them for six years. They got a bit fuller but not bigger. I didnt go up a bra size or anything, maybe some oter ppl do.

Its not permenent. The pill mimics the hormone levels of early pregnancy and produces the effecs, i.e. not ovulating and the breast swell is similar to that of if u were going to start breastfeeding in the near future.

When you stop taking the pill your body stops beleiving your preparing for childbirth.

Thanks for letting me know. My mom came up with this idea that birth control pills can increase breast size. My mom doesn't want me to get breast implants because I am almost 18 and she thinks I am too young. I don't really think gaining weight and to keep having to take birth control pills are worth taking only for breast enhancement. I kind of figured any type of results from birth control pills would not be permanent.

When I was on a bc pill a few years ago, it made me go up maybe a half a cup size. I don't think they shrank when I went off though. I wore the same bra size from when I went off the pill until I got pregnant 6 months later. It certainly wasn't a big enough increase to be worth taking it just for that though. You would get better results taking an herbal program, I'm sure. =)

When i went to the doctors to ask if i could be perscribed (the drugs men have when changing into a woman)I was told No because women already have estrogen (female hormone) in the body and it can be dangerous.

However my doctor did say i could have Microgynone30 the contraceptive pill and she could almost gaurantee i would have boob growth, up to a cup size she said, which i decided not take as i am on the depo and did not need 2 forms of contracieptive in my body.
My mum said to me on day last yr, you had bigger boobs when you went through puberty than you have now (not very tacktile but hey thats mums for you)

Which made me think, yes i was on the oral contraceptive pill when i was in my early teens, to help with period pains, so what im trying to say is from that i can conclude Yes the pill will give you bigger boobs, however the results are not forever lasting once you stop taking it.

And using herbs to grow is saffer than taking a mixture of hormones for the rest of your life, that have risks of thrombosis, and other risky side affects

I increased from an A cup to an almost C when I was on birth control pills (was on cilest) which was like heaven sent, but after having a baby and developing DVT (midwife's fault) I can not take any birth control pills. I also definitely lost all the breast gain and now back to square one. I do miss my bigger boobs though

Hi,

I haven't been back on this site for a while, I was considering taking wonderup but as I planned to change my contraceptive pill first i decided to hold out and see if it made a difference. I was on microgynon30 for about 3 years, since i was 16, and have been taking Cilest now for about 3-4months.

I measure a 32B and have had no increase in size form cilest, the only notable difference is that my breats get fuller before my period (although this disappears when my period starts), these are fluctuations that i never had from microgynon. I even asked my doctor which pill would help breast growth and she was unsure. 2 of my friends were put onto dionette to clear their skin & they both experienced partial breast growth (not permanent), my doctor would not prescribe this to me as she said it was too strong and prefers people to use a different pill.

I am due to change my pill again at the start of September as cilest has not been good to my skin, I will post an update once i start a new pill, which ever 1 it may be.

My mum said she was pretty much totally flat chested until she went on the pill. I have been on a routine for like... 7 months now and I think maybe I have had a very small amount of growth but nothing noticable, which is pretty depressing. Anyway, my mum keeps saying I should just go to the Dr's and ask to go on the pill because it will be easier for me (and cheaper) than taking all these herbs.

Only thing is, will a Dr give you the pill if you say you want bigger boobs? Won't they just think you are crazy or like... I dunno. I think I might be too embarrassed to go say that to my Dr anyway...

i had been on the pill since i was 16 until about two years ago when i switched to depo... i dont think the pill really helped me out, though, that i can remember. i was a gymnast at the time, so very little was going to help me at that point anyway. but you should take the pill for more than just bigger boobs, i think. it has more side-effects than a lot of the herbs.

i know that doesnt really help, but that was just what i went through about ten years ago (!).

if you trust your gyno (and if she is a woman, i bet), she might have some other suggestions for you anyway. they are USED to that sort of question, i would wager!

Some women get bigger breast on the pill but not everyone. None of my friend did - only the ones that gained weight and it is not permanent. You have bigger chance getting bigger boobs with herbs and they are at least permanent

I agree, i was on pill for years in my teens, since coming off my boobs dissapeared, (they were not big to start with)
However i know alot of girls that had alot of growth and still have big boobs to this day, but from personal experience i would say the results are not permentent, and shedding the extra weight (which 99.9% will happen) is hard to shift, and if shifting the extra weight guess what boobies go too.

The pill worked for me, but the day I stopped taking the pill it all disappeared. So it couldn't have been growth, just some kind of swelling or fluid retention.

yeah, it can help, ask your doctor at your next appointment. bc pills can increase the size of your chest but the results are not permanent, the results will only stay there while you are on bc pills.

I've once heard of a certain birth control in particular that increases breast size. I'm currently taking birth control and I figured, if this magical birth control exists, I might as well be taking it! Does anyone know of such a birth control? I understand that they all have the possibility of increasing breast size.
Also, I think it's time I made my own mixture of herbs and what not for NBE (other than my quest for this BC). I've officially given up on WU.

A lot of BCP's will cause women to get larger breasts, a lot of the time because of weight gain, and I have been on 5 different kinds of birth control over the past 10 years. I always read through the precaution leaflets, and the birth control where I read breast size increased was only in one - and that was Seasonique. It's the BCP where you only have your period every three months. I loved that part of it, but my breasts didn't get any bigger, it gave me acne, and I had some hair loss as well. Don't let that scare you, it affects everybody differently, that was my experience.

Do a forum search, this question has been asked many times. Breast growth is BCP is possible, but it doesn't happen very often and apparently when it does, it's usually to girls who already have large breasts.

My boobs got bigger when I was taking birth control (I went up a full cup size). It was ortho tri-cyclen, I think. My body changed shape entirely, I gained about 15-20 pounds, was curvy for the first time in my life, had no acne... but my moods were WACK.

When I came off the pill my body went back to exactly what it looked like before. I lost all the weight and was skinny again with small boobs. So while BC might inflate your boobs for a while, the boobs aren't yours to keep!!

I have tried the Depo-Provera shot (which in my case was HOOORRIBLLE- wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy, but entirely my experience and opinion) and I am now on ortho-tri cyclen.

Neither of the BC options have increased my breast size at all.

Goodluck though with your journey- hope you find something that works for you

Honestly I think estrogen is told it is for growth but time and time it has been proven that progesterone increases breast b/c many of the problems women have are b/c we don't produce progesterone and when we do our hormones are balanced and our breast grow like they should.Try Mexican wild yam it's 100% pure progesterone and makes breast grow look it up.Also fenugreek increases breast also.

Uhm I dunno if you're a spammer BlackDiamond27, or just uninformed, but WY contains zero progesterone and has zero progesteronic action in the human body, it can only be converted to progesterone in the lab. The only way it may help progesterone defficiency is by lowering estrogen, but that's hardly a good way to balance you hormones cause then you're still defficient in both.

Like I said, WY does not contain progesterone, it contains diosgenin, which is similar to progesterone, but does not have any progesteronic action, and it can't be converted to progesterone in the human body, only in the lab.

Regarding wild yam - there is a great find posted by StellaHawkins in the herb info section of the forum.

It clearly confirms what Moon has stated that in its natural state, Wild Yam does not promote, nor does it contain any progesterone. The only... only... only... way one can get progesterone from Wild Yam is by processing it in the laboratory. This is not opinion, this is scientific fact.

In order for us to learn about NBE we must constantly read and research information.

Many people have started with inaccurate knowledge about NBE, but have gone on to educate themselves through the abundant information provided on this forum.

There is not a single person that knows everything about NBE - however, collectively, through this forum we have the combined knowledge of everyone. I truly believe this website contains the most thorough and best researched information about NBE anywhere on the planet.

But, you have to do your research. It is all there - just read.

some like yasmin are are all progesterone, yasmin also makes estrogen/progesterone pills

however after a bit of research bcp pills to me are dangerous and I cannot bring myself to take them. I am too scared, they don't affect a lot of women adversly but I bet I would be the one to get a negative effect

why because they don't really use progesterone but a progestin a modification of the natural hormone. there are so many side effects of taking the pill it borders on ridiculous.

natural progesterone is the best way to go.

all these BCP contain estrogen at .03mg. the main thing is the progestin. they have to be strong is contain a high dosage. in Diane34 the progestin also blocks testosterone. but make sure you understand that taking BCP doesnt guarantee you will grow or maintain the size you gain.

I didn't grew that much, but the doses I used are very low, so I might have grown more if I used more, but I didn't want to stall my growth by using too high doses. As I said in another thread, I'm on a one month break for now, but I plan to increase my doses when I get back on my routine. I took 1200 mg of each everyday: Saw Palmetto, Fenugreek, Wild Yam and Fennel for 3 months. I think I will increase to 1500mg or 2000mg to see if I get better results like that. But at first, I wanted to play it safe.

I am on Diane-35, have been for about eight months now. I've definately grown at least one cup size, maybe more (since I started measuring about two months after I started the pill). I think it contains (wait, I've got the box in my hand) 0.035mg ethinyl estradiol and 2mg cytoproterone acetate. There are contraindications thought. Don't smoke if you want to decrease the risk of problems (blood clots, heart attack or stroke).

im new to this forum. i was browsing info on breast enlargment when i came onto this site. am i understanding corret, u can get a contraceptive pill that makes your boobs go bigger. i have been docs this morn to change my pill as i was having problems wiv my other one, and shes put me on yasmin. will this help my boobs grow?

This is the response to a question I asked a medical site about progesterone in BCP as I switched brands and noticed there was a large increase in dose of the progesterone component so I wanted to know if it was more progestoronic overall or if the new drug is weaker hence you need more of it:

"You recently asked the NLH Q&A service regarding whether the combined oral contraceptive Dianette (containing 2 mg of the progesterone cyproterone) is more progestogenic than Microgynon (containing 0.15 mg of levonogestrel) and which would be more suitable for women with low circulating progesterone. I am responding to your question as it was referred to London medicines information.

Cyproterone is a progesterone but also has anti-androgenic properties and is therefore preferred for women with acne, oily skin, or hirsutism. Levonorgestrel is also a progesterone but without apparent anti-androgenic activity. As such, whilst both cyproterone and levonorgestrel are potent progesterones a direct comparison in terms of equivalent doses is not available. It is also worth considering that interindividual pharmacokinetic and physiological variation may occur, resulting in 10 fold differences in circulating progesterone in women taking the same formulation of the same pill and sampled at the same time. Such variation is further compounded by differences in target organ sensitivity. Taking this into account it seems suggesting a specific suitable progesterone for a women with low circulating progesterone could only be achieved on an individual basis and may require specialist input."

So it seems that again it is down to our own individual bodies to make use of the BCP (or not!) and it is pretty much down to luck and genetics whether it helps boob growth or hormonal symptoms.

I'm not convinced that BCP for breast growth is the way to go. I got some increase when on BCP, but it must have been only swelling, as it disppeared immediately I came off the pill.

Reason I ask is, I just found out its likely I'm deficient in both estrogen and progsterone - pretty much everything I'm taking is estrogenic - and BCP is free in UK.

Oooops... I feel I should have corrected this sooner.

I did a little bit of reading and apparently orally taken progesterone is less helpful than the cream because the majority gets absrobed by the liver? Anyone shed any light?

Hi Roseability,
Well, I probably have more experience with progesterone cream than anyone on the forum.

I have used the progesterone cream off and on since 2006. I have used Maca. I have used Vitex. Here is my take on each.

About maca... although it is supposedly an adaptogen, meaning it is a precursor for many different hormones, that statement is merely anecdotal. There is no scientific basis for it. Its effect on me is not like progesterone and I feel it has more potential as an estrogen supporter than anything else.

About vitex... there is a lot of scientific study of vitex. It does increase progesterone and reduces prolactin at the same time. It increases progesterone by stimulating production in the corpus luteum after ovulation. If a woman does not have ovaries or does not ovulate its method of action is negated. I found that it was somewhat helpful, but it took a long time to achieve any effect (at least 3 months of constant use). It also was not strong enough to correct my estrogen dominance/progesterone deficiency by itself.

About progesterone... Natural progesterone cream is completely different from the progesterone used in BCP (unless you are getting bio-identical hormones from a compounding pharmacy). BCP has what is called progestins which bind to the progesterone molecule. The progestin molecule looks different than the progesterone molecule - more like testosterone than anything else. When a molecule looks that different from what it is supposed to mimic, it cannot have the same effect. Think of a key fitting a lock. It has to have the bumps in the right places or it cannot turn the tumblers.

Now with natural progesterone cream, even though it has been manufactured in the lab, the molecule looks just like our own progesterone and it has all the beneficial effects of the real progesterone molecule. There are bio-identical natural progesterone pills and you are absolutely correct that the majority of that pill will end up filtered out by your liver. The best way to effect your progesterone level is through the use of the natural progesterone cream.

You said you had done some reading and if you haven't already, check out the book 'What your doctor may not tell you about premenopause' by Dr. John Lee. Of all of his books, I found this one to be the most informative about the use of progesterone cream to enhance natural progesterone. By following the guide the book outlined I have successfully resolved most of my symptoms and I feel better than I ever have in my life (not an exaggeration).

So - in a long rambling way I am telling you that the BCP idea is not the way to go unless it is bio-identical hormones and even then the impact on your liver would be unhealthy. Better the cream in my opinion.

I have another question now, hehe.

If you get the symptoms for both estrogen deficiency and progesterone deficiency, I know it probably means that I'm estrogen dominant (still have more of that than progesterone) so I need to do something about that e.g. cream or vitex but do you also need to carry on increasing estrogen as well? I think I am growing - whether its herbs or suction or both, so I don't really want to lay off my current herbs but I don't want to buy progesterone cream if taking estrogenic herbs makes it ineffective? I would try a half and half programme based around my cycle but my cycles are so irregular I never actually know where I am.

Hi again,
One of the things that progesterone does is activate estrogen receptors. A person who is testing both low estrogen and low progesterone probably really needs to supplement progesterone in order to enhance their reception to estrogen.

You speak of irregular cycles and that is another thing that progesterone can have a positive effect on.

You basically have 3 ways to improve your progesterone/estrogen balance.
1. reduce estrogens (according to your test this is not desirable)
2. increase progesterone through use of vitex (will take about 3 months to have any effect)
3. use progesterone cream (immediate effect but you have to use it precisely at the right times and the right amount)

Since the initial response to increasing progesterone almost always involves a surge in estrogen due to its effect on the estrogen receptors, you really would be treating both of your issues at the same time.

If you want to use estrogenic herbs, then I would limit them to the first part of your cycle. Certainly you have some sort of average to your cycle length. Just divide it in half and use the estrogenic herbs the first half of your cycle length - let's just arbitrarily say 10 - 14 days.

If you choose to use vitex then start and take it daily for at least 3 months. Take it with the estrogenic herbs. There really is no scientific reason to avoid estrogens when using vitex. There is nothing about its method of action that would be reduced when other herbs are used unless those other herbs promote the building of prolactin (that would be the galactogogues - which fenugreek is one of them). You could use fennel or maca with vitex.

If you choose progesterone then research it thoroughly first. You take it during the last half of your cycle. You use a specific dose and you apply it to thin skinned areas and rotate where you place it. The book I mentioned talks all about this. With this method you could use any estrogenic herb in the first half of your cycle, even the galactogogues.

I ordered some vitex because I don't really have a regular enough cycle to use the cream and vitex worked out cheaper too. I'm not sure what dosage the forum would recommend but these are 300x 800mg, they state that you should take two a day which I work out to be 5 months worth. Not bad for ten pounds.

So if I take vitex should I lay off wonderup? It contains fenugreek! :-( On the plus side, I did take both fenugreek and fennel capsules before starting wonderup and felt I had more sensations with fennel.

Yeah, just save the Wonderup for later. There would be a direct interference between it and the vitex due to the fenugreek. Fennel should be fine and since it is a relatively low dose estrogenic herb it should not be a problem with the estrogen dominance if you take it the first part of your cycle.

Hi all!
I would REALLY appreciate some help and advice.

I have been on BCP for 4 months and had on average 0.5 inches of groeth per month for the last 4 months. The 5th month my emotions were abit odd and 2 weeks after my period had finished (ie the middle of my cycle) my boobs balooned in size to almost a 32D! I was SO overjoyed - finally I though I'm significantly growing. However it was gone in a week, and now the 4th week into my cycle I feel horrible, bloated, spotty emotional.

Can someone advise me on how i can keep it how it was in the middle of my cycle - does this mean that my oestrogen and progesterone levels would be balenced more in the middle of my cycle. Do i need a BCP with a higher dosage of both to stop my emotions from going wierd? I'm SO annoyed cos they were perfect for a week and now I'm so disheartened.

Any adivice would be so appreciated cos this is playing onmy mind constantly. I am on Marvelon, if that makes any difference.

I've definately grown, It probably is only tempory and would probably disappear when you stop taking them, but I don't really care. It's safe to stay on them for at least 5 years, so if i'm an inch bigger for 5 years then wonderful. My friend grew loads on a pill called microgynon, and aanother friend went from a b to a full c on yasmin. it varys from person to person i think.

I'm also taking marvelon for birth control, but have never experienced any breast growth from taking BCP's and I've been on several different ones in the past. The only thing I noticed is that I have a bigger appetite. After taking BCP for a year I did notice that I had put on several pounds in weight and this seemed to be distributed over my butt!
