Anyway what gets my goat is whats the real story with SOY, I mean honest to goodness non gmo organic fermented soy..
Japans at the bottom of the list and still I believe to this day have the lowest cancer rates in the world but the biggest part of their diet is soy! They also consume a lot of rice which is now contaminated with lead but yet they still have low cancer rates in traditional towns. Maybe their particular rice (unprocessed or grown rural) is of a better standard who knows.
In the book "the blue zones" the longest living pockets around the world, for the most part miso is a part of their daily diets. Does the iodine content in the sea based products they consume offset the negative impact on thyroid health?
I bring this up cause if we can get some sort of protein from soy it seems most vegetarian products, like vegetarian sausages, patties etc are all soy based! I need some alternative to protein in the interim
I agree not to touch supermarket soy products but the good stuff you know.
Agh I don't know.
