my bra size?

#1

i am trying to figure out my bra size. i always bought padded & underwire 32A bras (often because that is the smallest they have in the stores) but i have shrunken a bit in size since exercising more just over a year ago, and a lot of them don't fit properly anymore (they often gape at the top). different calculators online tell me totally different things..

this calculator tells me i am 30C:

this one tells me 32AA:

this one says 28C/30B:

this one says 30A:
http://www.babycenter.com/bra-size-calculator

this one says 32C:

!!!

my measurements:
under bust: 27.5
bust: 30.5
over bust: 30

thanks!

28c sounds best to me.

If your 32A's fit well in the cup after swoop and scoop then 28C could work. For smaller sizes a leaning bust measurement is usually more accurate so I wouldn't rule out 28D either. The half and inch can make all the difference.

C and D sound like such big cups for my tiny boobs, but I know it is all about the # and letter together. I think I will head to a specialty bra store to try some bras on. The bad thing is I'll probably only be able to buy bras at specialty stores, and not the usual lingerie stores since I never see anything smaller than 32.

I just watched a video on how to do the swoop and scoop and wow! It looked like I didn't properly fit my bra before I did it (with the gaping at the top), but when I did it, my cups overfloweth. Smile I can also see how I am wearing the wrong bra size (32A has a way too big band and my scooped breasts feel like they would probably fall after awhile!). I tightened it to the smallest hook and it still seems a bit big (and I usually wear my bras on the loosest hook for comfort). I think I need to buy some new bras soon and try out 28C, but I'll hold off in case I gain cup sizes since bras are not cheap! Sucks as I just bought a few new bras too, in my usual size of 32A.

This will make bra shopping very difficult as I almost never see any bra sizes smaller than a size 32 band in stores. I will have to always order online, I think. :/ I like to try bras on and see how they look under clothes too, and shopping online will be difficult! Hope these places have a good return policy (but there are usually shipping costs associated with mail returns!)

Some photos:

Even though they are both supposedly size 32A, the black bra's cups are slightly bigger. With the tighter band though (on the tightest hook vs. my usual loosest or middle hook), I don't like how my fat hangs over the top of the band at the sides of my back. :/

These ones are with the s&s

Keep up with the swoop and scoop. I did that for a while and I swear my boobs got a bigger as a result of that alone.
You look great btw too!

this is without s&s (you can see how it gapes since I don't fill it out):

Looks like a tiny bit of gaping still, but hopefully I will fill it in with NBE!.. although when I look down, it looks like the gape is closer to my armpit, which might mean I need the cups to be closer together..? Funny thing is my left boob fits with no gaping, but that is the slightly smaller boob.. so what does this mean? I am wondering now if the cup is actually a bit small for my right breast since it looks like my nipple is pushing against the padding.

Thanks, Ella! I should mention these bras and pics make me look bustier than I am. I am tiny when I take them off. They are heavily padded bras (like VS style padding, with bigger padding at the bottom of the cups!) Blush

Don't worry, my boobs look heaps smaller once the bra comes off too.
If you really work on the swoop and scoop I find the padded ones are better at holding the extra fat you swoop in and keep it there Smile
I always wear soft padded bras, plain underwire are soo uncomfy!
