For me, I switched to only using my FSO at night if I had to get dressed in a hurry, so the smell wouldn't get on my bra (especially since I only own one now). I've found that applying FSO first and then applying a nicely scented lotion does help lessen the smell, and can even completely cover it if you find the right lotion. Also, if you use a lotion that contains Vitamin E, it will help the oil to absorb a little bit faster than usual.
When I do laundry, I've found that soaking the clothes in a bucket of baking soda for about an hour or more beforehand can definitely help. That stuff pretty much gets out most lingering scents, and it's great to do every once in a while anyway to keep your laundry fresh. I really helps me when I get clothes out of storage, too, and they smell all musty.
