Anything like you just described would almost HAVE to be the result of improper use of the corset...
Properly worn, a corset should NEVER cause any of that. Unless it's an Edwardian, but those are just silly anyways, no one actually intentionally wears an Edwardian for long-term wear. They MIGHT don one for some re-enactment stuff for a short time. Maybe.
Honestly, wearing an Edwardian longer than a few hours at a time every great once in a while counts as improper use of a corset in my book.
