Hello everyone!

I hope that you all are doing well!

I just started taking PM caps last month (very hesitant due to an uncertainty about a hormone imbalance and the strength of PM), and I had been taken this brand:

If you look, you'll notice that the site states that this is PM EXTRACT, not pure powder.

Well, I just got my Siriporn PM caps from Deb today, so I decided to break one of my old PM caps open to see what they looked like. (The capsules are an opaque white color, so I couldn't tell the color and I couldn't tell if it was a liquid or powder.)

Well, they are a powder, not a liquid, and they are also BROWN, not white. Also, they are much smaller than the Siriporn PM, but boast the same 100mg per pill. Another key point is the smell. The Thanyaporn (the brown) PM caps have a very potent herbal smell, they almost smell spicy, and the Siriporn (white powder) have a very light smell that isn't very herbal.

So, my questions to anyone who may have some knowledge are these:

1.) a.) Did I get totally ripped of by purchasing bogus pills from Thanyaporn (brown powder extract)?
b.) Or, could this pills actually be really potent?

2.) Are the Thanyaporn pills brown because they are an extract?

3.) Do your PM pills have a potent, herbal smell, or do they have a light smell?

4.) Has anyone tried the Thanyaporn pills, and what are your opinions based on your experience?

Thanks in advance for any input on this, I am so confused!!! I e-mailed the Thanyaporn company twice for the miroestrol content and other questions, but only got a reply back that they did not know, and that they would get back to me (and they never did).

I thought PM pills were supposed to be white, not cream colored? Can any body help with this?

I was also wondering about the color of the PM pills. Are they supposed to be cream or white? If they are cream does that mean they are wild grown? If they are white does it mean they are lab grown? Which color is better to have in PM pills?

White PM is the variety used for breast enhancement, out of the 3 varieties. That is what they call the plant!!! But I don't think you can disect the product too much after all it has gone through to be processed,, the white plant may very well be ivory or beige in colour, once it has been processed(dehydrated to powder form).

I used st herb (200mg root/tube, 4 a day), and thanyaporn (150mg extract, 1 a day, but I think should be 2 a day) both are beige colour, the same size of capsules, thanyaporns have very spicy/herb smell, but st herbs havent any smell

PM is cream colored. No there is no way to know if it is wild or farmed by the color.


Its not white ............period after processing

Thanks Martha and Snowflake.

I still do not understand why some pills are white and why some pills are brown. I have searched high and low for the answer. No has been able to help me with it thus far. I already have PM, but I won't take it until I can find more info. I have read this PM forum through a few times, and still there is not as much info available and out there as BO, Herbs, etc.

I am also very weary about PM becuase it affects everyone differently and I am not sure why it affects certain people a certain way. Also, I wonder why it messes with some people's period and not others.

I guess I would like as much info as I can find about PM before starting it. Majority of the info is just stating it's benefits, which I already.

A search on the PM forum will give you several links explaining the side effects of PM, such as how it affects the menstrual cycle, health warnings, etc. The so-called "benefits" are coming from the companies who sell them. Listen to your instincts if they're telling you a product/method is not safe for you.
