Oh I wrote that on idreamofD's picture page
I remember reading that if you're under 35 you should take L-Arginine, and over 35 you should take GABA, on her picture page as well.

I read that L-Arginine pretty much stops working at a certain age. Probably because there's too much somatostatin for it to do anything of consequence, that's why GABA might be more effective. But it's worth reading about. I'll look up some of the links where I read this stuff and post it.
Here is one:

The Life Extension Manual is a very interesting read, especially for bio-nerds like myself
I'm not sure what some signs of low HGH would be, but I guess slow recovery time could be one. General wear and tear of the body.
"HGH is responsible for growth during childhood -- and for the repair and regeneration of human tissue throughout our lives. By the time we reach the age of 30, our HGH levels are only about 20 percent of their peak levels during childhood, and after the age of 30, they continue to decline at about 12 to 15 percent per decade, and often much more. By the time most of us are 30 years old, our bodies no longer produce enough HGH to repair all of the damage that is occurring in our bodies. As our HGH levels continue to decline, the damage that we call aging continues to accelerate."
You should DEFINITELY take breaks from L-Arginine. 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off, just to maintain your body's ability to make it on its own. Same thing probably goes for GABA, but it would take more research to know.
