On his site, Wahaika has this to say about it: "Same as fenugreek for growth, additional potential as an estrogen receptor resensitizer since it works this way on the hypothalamus. Use in infusion." However, he has always recommended fenugreek over goat's rue, as far as I know. On top of that, very few people on here or other boards choose to take it, and it's never really been a popular recommendation. Is it avoided because it's such a powerful galactagogue, and lactation is terrible for BE? Fennel has certain unique effects unrelated to it's phytoestrogen content. Could that be why it's recommended over goat's rue? I'm very interested in the idea that GR is an estrogen receptor resensitizer, but I haven't been able to find any more info on the subject. Long story short, could someone replace the fenugreek in the usual big 3 combo (FG, SP, WY) with goat's rue and get similar or better results? If not, why not?

I read in the old forum that some women were using Goat's Rue. It seemed to have some real interest there. Plus I noticed it was an ingredient in Wonderup.

Interesting. It did seem to me like a lot more people used to take it, but then it sort of fell out of favor. One of things I did early on my research is compile a list of some of the top growers, and although their methods were all over the map, not one was taking goat's rue.

Hi Mochaccino,
Goat's rue (galega officinalis) is a waist slimmer: it was the basis for the development of metformin, a synthetic pharmaceutical that is effective against insulin resistance and diabetes.
I have bought 200 g dried herb, but I will be very careful about how to introduce it in my program (for massage only). It is a "medicinal" plant. That means it's toxic.

Not sure if FG is a medicinal plant too (I would think not if some can take a lot of dosage) but maybe that is why goat's rue isnt used as much...just saying..just a thought..

Interesting so it helps to slim your waist, is that by applying it topically or as a supplement? Can it be used during NBE because I am trying to slim down and keep my breast size.

Yes, Susan,
You're dead right. Even the brave ones among us will stop if they get funny symptoms
And Go,
It might be just the herb for you. You can read the last 4 pages of my program thread. There is a lot there about waist slimming while keeping breast size. Insulin resistance is key. But insulin resistance is also related to PCOS, so you would do best to ask Wahaika for advice in the title of a new thread.
He can figure out if insulin resistance is really a concern for you. He already has advised several people to use goat's rue as a topical. The names are in my program thread.
Good luck: it's advanced NBE

Yes fenugreek is a medicinal herb for sure. It's one of the oldest known medicinal herbs.
