Warning for newcomers about SPAM

#1

Hi everyone, I feel having been on here for many many years I owe it to everyone to warn about certain spam accounts/scams that keep being posted in the forum and that literally nothing is done about. Accounts such as NanaKante which you may have seen are spam/scam posts they have their "website" linked below every post or sneakily include clickable words in their posts which will take you off this website onto another, the same goes for any and every post pretending to offer advice by suggesting you use testosterone enhancing supplements(this has been rampant here of late), testosterone being heightened is against NBE and not only will not help you in growth, but will impede it and also possibly stall your menstrual cycle if boosted too high as seen time and time again from users on here. Please be wary and do not interact/click on any of these posts or links posted like this, again I feel it very important to warn others as I have noticed the forum is rampant with spam these days with nothing ever being done and some of you have been interacting with the scammers unknowingly, I really don't want anyone to be victim to this stuff and want the site to stay safe without scam/spam/misinformation or the like as it should be  Heart

Thanks Princess
NBE seems to be invaded with junk lately.
Lots of Russian looking ones that I haven't even ventured to open too.
How the grandma doing?

Hi Bobbi and Koyasha Heart  I am glad to warn others as I know some people can be very trusting especially when expecting such a site to be safe, unfortunately Eve doesn't do anything when PM'd or reported to about spam I'm not sure why, she leaves them up no matter how many of us report the posts, from my experience over the years anyways, maybe she's too busy with life. So the best we can do is simply warn others when we see it, making these scammers posts ineffective.
Bobbi, I guess you must not have seen my recent post on my thread.... I'm very heartbroken and hurt to say that sadly my Oma passed.... the stroke she had after the broken hip surgery(they took her off her blood thinners for it) was a very severe case, she progressively got worse and worse, so much so she became in a complete vegetative state, crooked neck with head resting on her shoulder permanently, unable to speak, unable to move, we were advised she would have no quality of life and that much was obvious to us, the medical team advised us to give her morphine to help her let go peacefully, she passed very shortly after this. It's been touch and go since, because she was my everything and I miss her greatly, the house has been quite lonely without her, seeing as I'm mostly here by myself now. But I am coping ok now, remembering all the wonderful, loving, funny, joyful moments she brought me, I will have her urn back soon(it's taken a long time now) which will bring me much comfort as she will be back with her family where she only ever wanted to be.

Hey,
I just saw the newest flood of posts from a spammer..
Sad to hear the admin doesn't do anything about it, I guess all we can do is hope that they will lose interest in this site soon.

I know you weren't talking to me, but I read what you wrote to Bobbi anyway.
I am really sorry to hear about your Oma. From what I understand you two lived together in a house. Are you going to bury her, or is it common to keep the urn of a loved one where you live? Was your Oma of German ancestry? I am not from the US, but I watch this show where they call their German or Swiss grandma Oma. I don't even know if you are from the US.

Yes let's hope so, I remember many years back there was nowhere near as many spam/scam posts and BN was full of active real members.
Thank you love  Heart yes I am half German(other half English/Irish ancestry so I have natural red hair), my Oma and dad are from Germany, however I live in Australia, originally the plan was to bury, however we realised that cremation was actually the better option, she always said she didn't want to be anywhere else but with me/family so the idea is that having her in the urn here with us will be honouring her and was what she wanted, it will bring comfort as I am a big believer in loved ones watching over us. I miss her greatly, we had an incredibly strong bond it's been very lonely without her.

I don't remember any spam posts from when I first joined..
Is red hair common in Ireland? I only know that red hair and brown eyes is the most common combination, but not where those redheads come from Big Grin . I only have one friend with red hair, he has blue eyes, but his son has red hair and brown eyes (I love genetics). I am German, too  Heart Not sure how German I really am since I am adopted, but I was born and raised here (Germany). How did you end up in Australia? I know that the UV index is super high and the spiders are super scary over there. Do you speak German?
Wow, I had no idea that it was possible to keep the urn, I hate burying loved ones, I never even attend funerals cause I find it traumatizing. I will have to google if this is common (keeping the urn), cause I have not once heard about that (when it comes to humans).
My grandma passed away a month ago, but she had been in a nursing home for a while since she was 96.
I am really sorry for your loss, I hope you have lots of support irl  Hug

Yes it is extremely common atleast in western society, I mean havnt you ever seen any English speaking classic movies and they have the urn of their family member? It's a wonderful way to honour a passed one because it means they can be with you forever, whereas with some burials/graves, they actually don't have that spot for life, eventually the buried are removed and cremated etc as they need to make space for others, this is ofcourse unless you buy a plot for eternity.
Thank you for the support, she was my everything, it's been incredibly lonely without her, we would always be together, making pots of herbal tea, gossiping and watching shows, she wasnt just my Oma she was my best friend, I miss her dearly.
I have very long almost butt length red hair(straight naturally) with green eyes, but this is a common trait for redheads with European ancestry, actually moreso blue eyes as green eyes are the rarest colour to have, I know full Irish redheads tend to have more frizzy and/or curly hair. Yes the UV rays can be quite strong here in Australia, however we have a higher standard of sunscreen protection than other countries so we are protected anyways unless someone was silly enough not to wear sunscreen, personally I'm very pale and love being so, I can tan a little bit but choose not to. As for the spiders and such that's all fear mongering from other countries lol you don't see things like snakes, kangaroos, koalas etc unless you live in the country side/outback, many of us live in suburban areas or big cities where these things simply aren't seen, I don't even remember the last time I saw a kangaroo or snake tbh, spiders yeh but even them I rarely see and most aren't actually dangerous here besides like the white tip or red back spiders etc etc which aren't very big but every country has dangerous spiders that's a universal thing, alot of the internet is AI fake videos showing these gigantic spiders that simply don't exist here  Rolleyes the biggest we have is the tarantula, and I've never had one in my houses because we are quite tidy people and don't live in the bush/country side. I feel unfortunately alot of the fear mongering comes from Americans who have never even been to Australia to actually factually state such things.
Thanks again  Hug I really only have my parents for support plus a guy friend irl, but I'm coping ok, have had a few breakdowns in tears but that's expected. Also yes I do speak a little bit of German, I tend to pick it up well from dad or what was from my Oma, and my Oma and Opa moved to Australia from Germany when my dad was a lil kid, they wanted to start a new life here with businesses etc, (back then loads of people would migrate here from different countries, and still do as we are a multicultural country made up of lots of different nationalities)

I don't think I've ever seen any movies like that, or at least I did not pay attention to what happened to the urn  Shy We don't get to see any English speaking movies over here, they are all translated by the time we get to see them, except for Dinner for one on New Year's Eve Big Grin  I like the idea of being able to keep the urn, but google says it is not allowed in Germany due to the "cemetery obligation" (WTF), I guess that's why I haven't heard of it.

I understand how hard it must be if you spent so much time with your Oma, living together, doing things together, and then all of a sudden that person is gone Sad

There is this song in Russian dedicated to redheads, только для рыжих, there are a lot of different kind of redheads in the video clips, frizzy, curly, straight hair  Hug Only for redheads (song)

Do you make an effort not to leave the house during the day, or do you walk around with a parasol if you have to? I heard that's very common in Japan and other Asian countries. I have a parasol and people act like I am totally nuts haha. People here are crazy, some of them use oil to tan even faster, they all know how dangerous this can be, but they don't seem to care.

Haha thanks for clarifying, I really believed that Australia, even the cities, were full of spiders lol. I would love to see a real kangaroo, though.

It's really cool that you speak some German, also that your grandparents moved to Australia, that sounds like such a big step to take back then.
I love languages.

I am glad to hear you have people in your life that support you. Even if it's "only" your parents and a guy friend, I believe in quality over quantity when it comes to the people that are close to you  Heart
Hang in there  Hug

Wow that's crazy Im always learning new things when I read or hear about different customs in different parts of the world!
Honestly your reply made me smile you are very kind thank you so much Koyasha for the support and lovely words Hug
I was starting to cope ok but unfortunately spiralled down hill again and have been in a pretty bad way with depression, due to this I havnt been going out much at all but I am hoping to get out tomorrow as I am going shopping and for a walk at a reserve with my mum.
Oh a parasol would be just darling!  Big Grin I do go out but I don't ever get burnt because I'm never out in the direct sun for long enough, if I go to the beach however I will turn bright red haha, these days though strangely I can tan a little bit rather than going red and then back to pale.
I actually saw a Wombat randomly up close last year when out in the country side it was the absolute cutest little thing ever, I've only seen a few in my life.
I hope you are doing well also, and hoping the weather is warmer for you where you are, as it is Winter here and extremely cold I have constantly got the ducted heating on
