SURFER ok thats interesting.. I do in fact take a relatively high dose of Vit D3 daily. 
I tested borderline deficient and i LIVE BY THE BEACH and have alot of sun exposure.. What does that say...

What i wanted to do is to balance CALCIUM/MAGNESUM & PHOSPHOROUS... 
I have gum issues and apparently an inbalance of the above causes that. 

My diet isnt poor by any stretch but i admit i have pretty much the same salad everyday and suspect im not getting much by way of nutrients in it. I have started juicing carrot/kale/chard or silverbeet every day or two.

Surfer whats a good strategy to balance CA/MG & PHOS as above?

You probably have some problem absorbing vitamin D.  You could try applying vitamin D to your skin but that may or may not be any better for absorption.  You may simply need extra to combat the poor absorption.

There are tips in my sig thread for various nutritional combinations such as the one with nuts or the one with rice bran / brewerer's yeast / spirulina.  Juicing is nice too: spinach, parsley, cilantro, endive and/or watercress are the healthy ones.  "Superfoods" are usually BS.  The first 3 veggies and maybe the other two for all I know are high in oxalic acid though.  So you should enough calcium powder to get rid of the bitter taste goes away.  You usually need a masticating juicer for leafy veggies too.  For flavor (but not nutrition at all) apples are mainly sugar but they make a good sweetener.  Carrots too.  Cucumber and celery are mostly water and are good for diluting.  Likewise not really nutritious though, just to dilute strong flavors.  Kale, chard and beets aren't that special either.  There's a lot of misinformation out there.  Check here for the truth: https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/ .  So yeah your salad and juicing that you're doing for your health probably isn't doing much of anything in reality.  It is a small portion of your needs I suppose, but definitely no health boost.  For that get a cup or two of the juice of any of the 5 healthy ones listed.  Sweeten or dilute with other produce if you like, but don't count those ingredients as much of anything towards your needs.

You might also look into sprouting brown/black rice.

Whats been hard for me Chrissy is the gut condition i have feeds off fibre and carbs. So in order to starve the bacteria that migrated into the small intestine where it isnt supposed to be i was told (along with tens of thousands of others with IBS) is to eat meat and cooked veg, avoid raw foods, avoid starchy veg, avoid grains, legumes, fruit (due to sugar content)... oh and avoid prebiotic foods - CRAZY HUH!
Can you imagine how hard that has been. To be told you must adhere to a high protein diet in order to starve bacteria off. Then you see movies like this! Devastating. While i LOVE meat and dairy i really do id still be happy to have a high starch diet, full of beans etc and fresh fruit and veg... Shy Sad

Yeah this where i guess it gets really confusing and you never want to go against good advice. I suppose you need to ask yourself is what ive been told working for me and if not change it, the only person that truly knows your body is yourself.
 I have to tell you a long story; i have spent the past year being told i have an inflammatory diease 1st psoriatic arthritis & 'no" said specialist then 'zero negative inflammatory disease' because all signs pointed to inflammation however nothing showed on test but after 18mons of extreme pain it turned out my pelvis is misaligned and longterm this has cause alot of turmoil physically. Now i am stubborn so i rejected every drug offered including antidepressants lol because of my gut issues and refused to take anything until i knew what it was and this is one of the times my stubborness was a benefit imagine how much worst id be. I did natural treatments, went to a top naturopath, mainstream docs & specialist all trying to treat a disease when it was a physical thing. 
I guess am trying to say 'they' dont always have the answers for us and sometimes like my case are so far off course its not funny.

Wow Chrissy thats sooo interesting!!! Well with what you just said i WONDER if i am in the same boat.... Post childbirth my digestion changed dramatically! I know FOR A FACT my pelvic region suffered greatly. I have pelvic issues hands down but NOBODY has ever invesiigated that. 


How did you get diagnosed???? My pelvic floor issues only came into play post child birth!

Physio picked it up straight away; i tried treatment with her but wasnt working for me so went to chiro and he thinks am a hot mess lol but ive committed myself to going to him once fortnightly trying to get my pelvis to stay in place it feels a little better everytime i go! And yes chiropractors can help with digestion issues too; i remember years ago i went and had trouble with my bowels but went for a general re-alignment i felt a deep belly clunk and after it all operated a lot more smoothly. Might be worth you investigating? Just take note though your gp wont agree lol

Oh dont get me started on GPs!!!! Im wirh a holistic MD and primarily a naturopath.. I was healthy right up until i gave my health over to them. Their antibiotics turned my world upside down.

Oh IBS.  I've read that spinach and sunflower seeds are popular for making it go away in spite of the warnings against fiber.  Read up before you start just in case, because you are going directly against the common recommendation that way.  Unless the bacteria is something on top of the IBS, then who knows what to do.  But I'm suspicious against a high protein low healthy food diet working out long term for anyone.  Sounds like a lifetime bandaid approach to avoid short term flare ups while the condition just gets worse and worse.
