My hormone results! I really need help

#1

I did hormone test a week before my periods and these were the results...

Testosterone. - 0.48 ng/Ml
( normal range - 0.23 - 0.73)

Estradiol (E2) - 207.89 pg/Ml
follicular phase. - 18-147 pg/mL
pre-ovulatory phase - 93-575 pg/mL
Luteal phase. - 43-214 pg/mL

Progesterone. - 21.71 ng/mL
follicular phase - <0.25 - 0.54
Luteal phase - 1.5 - 20
ovulation - <0.25-6.22

Prolactin - 31.34 ng/mL
Non pregnant - 5.18 -26.53

I'm a biological female and I'm 21 years old. I get that I have high prolactin levels. but I really don't know how to find out if I'm estrogen dominant or deficient. I Google a lot but I couldn't find out. I really need help with this one because the program that iv been doing might be totally ineffective and I don't have anymore room for disappointment. I'd really appreciate if someone would help me out.

Hi GivemeC's,

Estradiol is mid-range, progesterone is upper range (not by much). Elevated prolactin could mean a protein deficiency, stress, thyroid, amongst others issues. Prolactin will lower estrogen, even prevent synthesis from testosterone (aka-aromatase) to estrogen. I would think PCOS, however T is also in mid range, although DHEA and cortisol aren't listed, do you have those results?.

Btw, what program are you on?.

Hey Lotus. thanks a ton for replying. I can't thank you enough. I havent done the DHEA and cortisol tests.. I will do them ASAP and post the results.
I was taking RC, SP, vit C,D and fish oil.. I was planning to add chasteberry during the second half and I also got gingko biloba to aid circulation. But I.stopped my program because I realised that I forgot to check if I'm estrogen deficient or dominant.... I didn't want to mess up my hormones.. more than anything I didn't want my program to be ineffective..
I'm also adding epo (aromatase) to my future program
But I am so lost now and I feel hopeless... I'dk what to do about my prolactin levels I'm hoping chasteberry will help with that and will just slightly increase my progesterone levels :/

Hey don't throw in the towel or feel hopeless yet, it takes time to find what works. What kind of fish oil?, SP (imo, doesn't work), vitex could help. Reduce stress and inflammation, EPO (omega 6) could increase inflammation, PGE2 upregulate inflammation too, but its pretty complicated (I'll spare you there lol). I'll add more ideas ASAP, it's late. Wink

C' yah Wink
