Permanent results on PM?

#11

It's hard to say, ladies.

Because, everyone's body is so different. Some posters have claim to lose them, while others say their size stayed the same. Though one thing the makers often advise, which may seem like a scam at first, but makes since is having a maintenance period. Which you are taking off and on, maybe regiment of 2 months on and 1 month off, 3 months on and 1 month off, 1 month on and 2 months off, and etc. I think the maintenance period almost has to be as long as (if not a little longer) than the original period you grew your breast.

If it took 7 months to get up 2 cup sizes, you might spend the next 13-17 on a maintenance type schedule that would be more in beginning and less in the end. I think in the off months you'll know if they are decreasing or not. If they do not decrease after 4 months to a little over half of year, then I think might be safe to say that they are fairly permanent.

As a mtf transexual, my experiences, with PM, are not neccessarily applicable to a genetic female; suffice it to say that I have now reached a b cup, on PM and am still growing. I have had, and still have pronounced buds, which strongly suggests, I am developing glands and milk ducts, which cannot go away.
My main reason for posting, however, is to question the doses being taken. I get my supply from pueriaria-mirifica.co.uk
The capsules claim to be 100% pure PM and are 1000mg. For a genetic woman, they advise 2 capsules a day. Are disappointing results, with PM, down to too small a dose?

Hey Chrissiegirl,

yeah, i think too low a dose can be a problem, but just one a day at that level is waaaaaaaay too high for many (most?) female bodies.

If they did ever take such a high dose, I'd hope it would be only under the supervision of a qualified doctor, and only for a very short time, and only after slowly and methodically ramping up from lower doses to give the body time to acclimate, and to see whether a good response can't be had at a much lower, safer dose.

...'cuz, what good is having bigger breasts if you develop some life-long illness or end up needing a hysterectomy or some such catastrophe?

Don't quote me on this as it hasn't been the focus of my research, but I think I read that genetic males are somewhat able to take higher doses of estrogen with less risk of health problems like cancer (tho PM is reputed not to stimulate cancerous cells - but that maybe dosage-related too?)...maybe since they don't have as many estrogen receptors...?

But, have you consulted a specialist? Please be informed.

At any rate, if you are a female, you do have the problem of overdosing yourself on estrogen and causing your body to shut down it's own estrogen production = you end up with even less usable estrogen than before.

Lastly, a valid concern (as a poster here has mentioned) is that if too many people complain about PM (as they are likely to do if they use it recklessly and hurt themselves) the FDA will ban it (like they did l-tryptophan for all those years, like they do with raw milk) and then none of us will get to benefit from it.... so I do sincerely hope women don't just go jumping on 1000 mg pills, for their own sakes and ours.

Hi Paloma,
My understanding is that PM works on the oestrogen receptors, in a slightly different way to oestrogen. The difference is such that, there are those, who think it may become a possible alternative to tomoxifan, which I know is a vile drug.
I can only say, what the supplier of my PM says and what works for me. Most days I take 4000mg and every so often limit it to 2000. At 3000 mg, daily, growth begins to stall and there is noticeably less activity in my boobs.
So far, I have not come accross studies, showing a negatige effect; however, given that taking oestrogen, is full of negative effects; what the hell. I am in a more contented place, than I ever thought could exist and at 61 one, that can't be bad.

HI mt

Have you ever used a higher quality product than anterol?

If you are getting results with anterol I venture to guess you will get even better results with a high quality PM without the noise, that is if anterol is not spiking their product with any drugs.....coming from THailand that is.

I'm still waiting to hear what the "best" PM product is out there, but something tells me that this secret will never be revealed. Rolleyes

A little common sense goes a long way!

The type of answer I was looking for was a brand name. PM is not in my local grocery store produce section. Tongue

I will not recommend a brand but will recommend products containing
quality farmed material vs wild materilal. Simple as that.

Just a quick question regarding your use of PM, if you wouldn't mind answering. How long have you been taking the PM to get to that point, and were you using any other herbals before or during? Any info is hugely appreciated!
