Boobie Noobie

#1

Hey all, I probably should have made my first post here, but I can't get anything right lately Big Grin Here is the post I just made in the bra measuring section of the forum and a link to the pic! BTW I am 28 & from New England (it was a looong winter Dodgy

Hello everyone, I just stumbled across this site the other day and have plunged headfirst into the world of NBE! :0
I am really frustrated with my boobs - for the past 2 years I have only been wearing Victoria's Secret Bombshell bras, the ones that are supposed to add 2 cup sizes, because I hate the shape of my boobs. They are really wide set so I don't even get a hint of cleavage without a bra. Well I have gained about 30 lbs since last fall which I am working on getting rid of right now o.O so my bras are really really tight. I've been wearing 38C. I've been home alone this week and studying for a big upcoming exam I'm taking in July, so I decided to go bra free this week to let em breathe from the too tight bras. I now realize I have like a permanent line under my boobs from the strap, and two permanent lines on my back from the strap. I quickly ordered some kinda comfort bra from Playtex on Amazon in 40C and I'm too scared to put my bombshells back on lol. My boobs look pretty good in the bombshell bras but I'm not confident because I know how they look underneath.

I'm so frustrated trying to find my size. I don't own a single bra without crazy padding to take measurements with, so I measured wearing no bra and I'm 37 under the bust if I keep the tape parallel to the floor, and a 43 across the bust if I lean forward since I'm not wearing a bra. So I cam up with 38DD.. it doesn't seem right.. and I'm afraid of the 38 strap since that's what has been slicing into me and leaving permanent marks :/ I also don't think I could fill the cups of a D let alone a DD.. I'd really have to scoop and push and tuck all I've got in there lol. If I measure the band like some sites say, across the back at band level, and then in the front, up at the top of the bust where the straps start.. I get 39.. so which one is the right #?

Did I measure right? Will going up a cup size make the same band size more comfortable? I also realized that I ALWAYS wear my bras on the tightest set of hooks, from when I first buy them to a year later lol.. this is probably not what I'm supposed to do >_> Hope someone can help, and thanks in advance Smile

So far with NBE I have been using a Kangzhu pump, ordered fennugreek, doing massage, and using a dermaroller + bio oil to get rid of my bra scars >_>

Here's a pic of my sad boobs with my permanent line (after being bra-free for 2 days) and my extra 30 lbs :*(

You actually have nice boobies and if you're unhappy with 'em... well you've come to the right place!

Going up a cup size won't make your band any more comfy... only a bigger bandsize will. Not having the right cup size will only make things more uncomfy for you as the girls need support! I would stay away from the bombshell bras. I have had one. They are like titty death traps. ALSO you shouldn't wear your bras on the tightest set of hooks. You tighten them as your bras get older and they stretch. Otherwise it should be worn comfortably on the last hook.

Good luck and welcome to the family!

Thanks for the reply! Those bombshells are killing me but I like having extreme amounts of padding lol I'm afraid I'll start wearing normal ones and everyone will think my boobs shrunk since I was wearing them so long haha.. Maybe I will go for one of these instead https://www.victoriassecret.com/bras/personal-bra-boutique/perfect-coverage-bra-body-by-victoria?ProductID=186584&CatalogueType=OLS

No echapman it does make a difference to the band if the cup is tight it makes the band feel tighter too that's how so many women make the mistake of big band small cup so easily it will feel tight but not supportive.

Okay, my new bra came in the mail, went for 38DD and figured I can just return in store if it doesn't work.. it seems too big.. like it will look okay when im standing straight up or something (after a lot of scooping and swooping lol) but if I bend over a lot there is a bunch of space. Not normal right? 38D or maybe even back down to C? :/ no idea what my boobs are lol.. I need help Sad On the plus side it is a very pretty color and I got the matching undies haha.. my underbust is 36.5 and my bras have been killing me.. but this one is really soft and im wearing it on the tightest hook.. if I pull the band tighter it seems to be better.. perhaps 36D in this bra

I went in to exchange it and had someone measure me again.. she measured above my bust and across.. instead of underbust and across.. my underbust is definitely 36.5 but she says I measure at a 38 going above.. and that I'm between a C and a D.. gah so confusing.. the 38C fits pretty well, at least it will be nice to get out of those bombshell death traps lol. Hopefully my Bradelis bra fits when it comes cause they don't do returns on sale items XD I grabbed a buncha semi annual sale bras to try and I have come to the conclusion that I can safely do a 36D or a 38C. One of these days I'll get to DD, /Believe!

36dd could work if not would be a great goal bra its really pretty.
The 38 band looks too loose on you its too far up your back.
She measured above your breasts? Was this vs? They don't have a clue about bras haha she did that to me there's nothing the above breast has to do with the band size of the bra eg mine is 35 but my underbust is 30 so I should wear 30 band 30h is good 32gg is good in the cups but too baggy and won't support or hold the underwires correctly so uncomfortable.
You should never buy a bra you need to wear on the tightest hook either because after all day it will become even looser.
