If you want to know about the possible effects on future breastfeeding, you could contact La Leche League (www.lalecheleague.org), they are the absolute experts on the matter and have volunteers worldwide.
I don´t think there would be any harm in using a NB but I´m not sure, I have breastfed for a very long time - think years - but I am using a NB now that my kids are grown so I don´t know what would happen if you do it the other way around. I can tell you though that your boobs can go through a lot of changes both in shape, size, coloring of nipples etc when you´re pregnant, breastfeeding, and when your kids are weaned. Mine looked like empty balloons when I stopped breastfeeding but some months later they filled up by themselves again. So I don´t think there is something like "permanent growth" when it comes to boobs!
