Psoriasis could actually fit it very well, and is actually the least problematic of the possible causes... though it'll also be the most long-term. Generally once developed, it's life-long.
IMO, for what it's worth? Since apparently a doctor is not presently possible, go with the most likely fit of what we know right now with the easiest OTC remedy, which is psoriasis. So. Moisturize your hands OFTEN. Try to avoid directly touching any drying agents. And try out some of the other recommendations on the site Babs linked for psoriasis remedies. Obviously the dandruff shampoos etc don't help, lol, but I think you know how to use proper judgement on what suggestions will help!
And... in a way I sure do hope this is what's going on! It's probably going to remain a life-long problem the remainder of your life... but... if this is the problem, at least it's not something life threatening and/or hormonal!
