Actually you take PM before you ovulate - from day one of bleeding till ovulation day, depends on every woman, I ovulate on day 18 
the best way to know when you ovulate is an ovulation test (you can buy it from the pharmacy, it's cheap). and start testing around day 11...Suerte!
