fluoride toothpaste and BB?

Does anyone know why you can't use fluoride toothpaste while using BB?

We know that fluoride is bad for us and I think it is a suspected carcinogenic, as well as suspected of causing neurological and other heath problems, but is it general health advise to avoid it or does it specifically interfere with BB?

When I was doing some research on hypothyroidism the book I have says that fluoride blocks iodine receptors in the thyroid gland, resulting in reduced iodine-containing hormone production.
Chlorine also does this. It suggests to drink steam distilled water only.

Beware when buying Tom's Toothpaste, some of them have fluoride in them. I picked up one today, and almost bought it, then read that it does containe flouride. They had 4 different types of Tom's, only one was without flouride.

Thanks for the info Lindyrose, that is the first time I heard that, but it makes sense now why we shouldn't use it. -- Sissy
