The big problem in the last week of the long cycles on PM is that women who experience it feel horrible. They need reassurance.
Hi Prettymama,
Even if you ovulated in September, you probably ovulated again around October 6th, because you stopped PM just before your due date (some women have just a little spotting at this point). So I still think you will get a period around the 20th. Unless you did anything wicked between October 4 and 6. PM suppresses ovulation, but I don't know if it's still reliable as bc if you stop.
Mel is digging out the literature to get to the bottom of this. We are expecting an update from Soonenough, who experienced something similar: she wrote about cycles between 17 and 42 days.
So you are right to take the tests. Ginie and GorgeousBlonde have also done a lot of work on PM cycles, but the truth is we don't really understand how it works yet. I hope it all works out for you now, and I trust we will find the right way to cycle PM.
Good luck with the tests.
well technically if i ovulated in september why have i not had my period yet? If a baby is not fetilized then the uterus sheds its lining and your period begins...but i have had NOTHING..so maybe i didnt ovulate then..although (sorry for tmi) i felt alot of discharge..clear..around the 17th and 20th of september so i assumed i ovulated..i dont like my cycle being messed up..i am so regular normally every 27 days..like clockwork..im always prepared and now im 11 days later then usual and not liking this a BIT!!
