You know now that you mention it I have no idea if the collagen I take is vegan. It probably isn't. If I had known that I probably never would have started taking those pills, but I didn't even think about it. According to this site (http://www.howtodothings.com/health-and-fitness/a4460-how-to-choose-collagen-supplements.html) something called "Multi-Scorb" is vegan and might work. I have been vegetarian/on-and-off vegan for almost ten years now so this was a hugely spacey thing for me to have done.
I will check into the amount of soy I use. I always drink a soy protein powder shake after yoga, then have soy yogurt with my breakfast. I sometimes have a soy burger and/or soy sausages. I will see if I can better figure out how that works out in gram amounts.
