Thanks!! No new growth to report yet
But it's only been two weeks since I last posted here, so I just have to remember to be patient! I had some dental work done and couldn't eat well for a few days... And then my blender broke so I couldn't make my protein smoothies (my favorite way to have the protein powder). During that time I didn't feel much for pains but since I am able to eat normally again, I have been getting about 80-90g of protein a day and getting a lot of pains! It's wonderful lol.
Program-wise I am still keeping it easy. I keep track of how much protein I eat, as well as calories (trying to gain weight). I use Calorie Count on about.com, which has been a great help. I eat a lot of lean meats but my favorite high protein food is shrimp (and salmon!), which I eat quite a bit of.
One thing I noticed though, and it was stupid of me to not check first - When I bought my protein shakes, it said Whey Protein Powder. I didn't think to check the ingredients list because it said whey and not soy. But, about a month into my program, I was reading it and it says it contains whey protein concentrate with soy protein isolate. Now, I know we aren't supposed to eat soy if we can help it. I am just wondering, should I stop using this protein powder completely because of the soy, or will it be okay once in a while (especially considering I did have some growth during my first month)? It gets expensive and I would hate to see both containers go to waste, but if I have to maybe I'll find a friend to give them to.
Anyway, I'm hoping to see more results soon! I'll keep you posted
