I don’t remember the exact amount but I think the toxic amount of goat’s rue in animal studies was equivalent to a human amount of around 40,000 mg. Still you do want a large safety margin and animals are not necessarily the same as humans. Others weren’t toxic in any amount except for messing up reproductive organs in extremely large amounts, causing infertility. For example replacing 1/3rd of the diet with fenugreek seeds (e.g., nothing but fenugreek for breakfast). I’m betting because of the extremely high hormonal impact.
