Swelling goes down during your period because at that time of the month, your hormones are at their lowest. Both estrogen and progesterone have to drop for a period to occur. 

BO also works differently than herbs, it boosts your natural production of hormones. 

Many girls have had problems with herbs, especially PM. Pm is notorious for making your period late if you take too much too soon. 

I personally don’t take BO, as pm works for me. The thing about pills in general, is you have to go really slow with them at the start. First few months you should be low dosing, for the body to get use to the drug. If you take too much too soon you will end up with a late period as you mentioned.

Oh, my mistake.
I want to tell you not that my period isn't so long but that my cycle isn't so long.
My latest cycle is 17th days.

What do you think why is my cycle so short?

and 2 years ago, when I tried PM, it makes my cycle too short, too.

is the short cycle related to PCOS?

I have long arms and legs' hair, acne.

is it okay if I take DIM with BO?

I heard that DIM prevents aromatase, so too much of DIM causes testosterone high.

I dont hear a lot about 17 day cycles so I'd definitely check that and stay away from BO until you regulate your period. BO provides Estrogen and DIM detoxes Estrogen. Together is a waste. You're not supposed to take herbs with BO. If you have Hirsutism (acne, hairy, puffy nips) you have high DHT from High T. Take a DHT inhibitor for T as DIM wont help and Maca to balance your E's. Take a month to detox your liver before starting your hormones again.
