I've been silently lurking on this site for far too long and I never considered posting anything. Today that changes!!

So in the past I've tried purifica mirifica, flax seed oil and fenugreek. I was never consistent with it so I rarely saw any progress. I bought a noogleberry a few years back and was only committed to it for a few weeks - again, barely any results. This was during a phase where I was just willing to do anything without proper research.

I've come to the conclusion that I am probably estrogen dominant or just low progesterone. My periods were always heavy and had clots, along with some other symptoms that lead me to this conclusion. Right now I'm just taking Maca everyday and cycling fenugreek and progesterone cream. When I started with the Maca I felt tingles in my breast, didnt see much growth but the tingles were there. It wasn't when I started incorporating the progesterone cream that I started noticing a difference, BUT only from my ovulation till my period. My boobs would feel really sore and extremely heavy, but they looked awesome!!! The sad part for me would be when my period returned and the progress would disappear and the girls would just look ...  lifeless. I'm wondering if it's the fenugreek during my follicular phase that's disrupting my progress? I dont know. I know that it's normal for breasts to swell during a womans cycle but I've seen the best swelling ever the min I started PC. How can I retain this growth forever????? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello TNA

You can take HMB towards teh end of your luteal phase and before period to help retain breast growth. I can't find the thread now, but your loss is normal on the forums.
Do you take Maca during your period? that could be a reason for heavy periods. FSH/LH are important during days 1-5 and 5-ovulation is when E is dominant.
T must convert to E or it will become Dht, and too much spearmint/maca can cause high T and Dht. so an aromatase would be good.

Can i know the brand of PC you use?

Best of luck!

RubyRose,

Why would too much spearmint cause excess T and DHT? Is it because it lowers T, which allows for more production of DHT? I'm confused lol
E without converting to Prg will cause E dom. prolong e dom can cause Hirsutism (high DHT); but with Prg it creates breast fat.
while spearmint does inhibit DHT, it doesnt decrease overall T levels so the T is still there waiting to be converted to either DHT or E or recirculate.
In my case of high andro, when i only regulated E with spearmint, nettle, maca without PC. i experienced symptoms of Edom/high DHT like high iritability and andro symptoms.
too much mint tea can cause liver failure as well.

My periods were heavy when I wasn't taking maca. They were heavy the min I stopped taking BCP and long before I started my NBE journey. Also, I thought spearmint tea was an anti-adrogen?

The PC that I'm using is Emerita.
heavy period could be linked to a lot of things like Thyroid issues, Endometriosis, Low Prog.  But the measure is How heavy your period is, how long it lasted, whats the color & was it clotty. lol. Usually though its a lack of progesterone. but here are some rss. that could shed light on your symptoms.
