That's why Brava is dispensed by dermatologist because the only side effect is this minor skin irritation. It happened to me at first too. But I guess my skin adjusted. Some say it's over pumping too, so maybe don't squeeze the pump as many squeezes, or pump for less time? For me I found the best timing was 8 minutes hold and 3-5 off  for about one hour to prevent red dots and cup rings and blue boob.
