Noogleberry professionals: areola stretching.

"Hi, Thank you for your email. As the areola is part of the skin, as the breast expands so will the areola. Its like a picture on a balloon. The bigger you blow the balloon up the bigger the picture becomes. Nipple covers and tape will only work to help the nipples form enlarging rather then the areola."

I would be so grateful if someone could shine some light on this for me-- getting larger areolas are a huge no no for me. I like the size I am at now. I was hoping the tape would stop any expansion but NB emailing me back saying it's only for the nipple not the surrounding skin-- has anyone found their areola's growing with the use of NB? Has the tape worked for you?

I am at a complete standstill any help is much appreciated! thank you <3

Hi MissB!

I have found that taping does help with keeping the areola from stretching out, at least for me. The key is so cover the entire areola with tape when you pump so that none of the areola skin gets pulled. I use a medical tape I found at a drug store, it sticks pretty well. I've also ordered some silicone nipple covers, that I plan to tape down as well, which might be easier on the actual nipple skin than the adhesive. But in the meantime, I tape away. I also put one long piece of tape from the nipple up to the top of my breast so that when I pump, the underboob is pulled more than the top. I find this creates more suction on every other part of the breast instead of the nipple area, which is what I'm going for. It adds another step, and it's not exactly comfortable, (especially the tape removal at the end of a session - that's a party.) but the results are beginning (Slowly, slowly!) to speak for themselves.

I'm no doctor, but I think the balloon metaphor is flawed, because we can manipulate our skin to stretch in certain areas and not others, whereas the latex in a balloon doesn't work that way. It's like jowls on a jawline, how can that one single little area of skin stretch and the rest not? Same thing.
