I've been using the noogleberry pump for the past couple of months so it's still early days. I have the same type of boobs as you it seems. I use my medium cups for the most part of my sessions then I use a large cup for a short time after as it gives me more coverage across the top of the breast. I can only use my large cups one at a time due to small rib cage as well as diddy boobs!
However, according to many on the noogleberry forum, yes you can move the cups higher to get as much upper breast coverage as it allows. Maybe try your usual method for a while then half way through your session move them up a bit for the remainder.
I also understand that massage helps a lot before pumping especially if you concentrate more on your upper bust.
