oh my gosh, you just reminded me of an article about fat cells i read some time ago ..i hope i bookmarked it. i’ll check. anyway, i remember being absolutely flabbergasted how dizzyingly complex were these things called fat cells. i hope i can find it again.

i love reading these articles …even the pithy abstracts. usually, i feel accomplished if i understand even 2% but feel lucky if i actually retain 0.001%, still, i get some sense of the subject. what’s crazy is how many times i’ve either read or heard someone go on about the new fountain of youth ..msm, sheep placenta, melatonin, etc. there’s this guy who works in the health section of the grocery coop where i shop. he rarely talks but one day i caught him staring at my ass so i guess he felt obliged to make some apology conversation and god, he went on and on about melatonin, his own personal fountain of youth. he looked like hell so i took a grain of salt. i'm going to search for that bookmark.

Ah, the fountain of youth... There's no such thing, of course. Unfortunately. Aging is inevitable. There are things that can slow it, but the big thing about that all is about keeping life in balance. Faster aging is a result of imbalances. Another unfortunate reality is that once aging has taken its toll, there's really no way back short of surgical means...

I'd be interested if you find that article, but maybe in another thread, we've veered quite a ways off topic for this one.
