Hi girls,
I read about Lisa's post and I went to buy EPO and Vit E(I need it since I have pure cocoa butter) and in the late evening I'll go to pick up my ylang ylang and geranium essential oils
So, I really need your help to make the boobie butter and this is what i'd like to do:
I'd like to melt down my 80 gr of pure cocoa butter, pour in it 4500mg of Vit E in oil because of the 18:1 relation read on the general references page.....and then??? I have also 40 capsules of Evening primrose oil, each of 500 mg, so 20.000mg.
The questions are:
How much EPO? How much Ylang Ylang and Geranium?
How much Fennel extract and how do I do this extract?
80gr of cocoa butter will last for more than a month so I think I have to use high dosages of every component.
I know how much vit E to put, but the others? help me please to make this BigBoobieButter Please!!!
I hope you'll understand my poor english
^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

I finally did it
May 18 2006, 12:18 AM
Hi all,
I finally did my Big(hope)BoobieButter:
**80gr of pure cocoa butter melted in which I added:
**4500mg Vitamin E (4500mg because of the 18:1 relation)
**5000mg Evening Primrose Oil ( isn't it little for 80 gr of cocoabutter??Should I add more?)
**10 Ylang Ylang Essential oil drops
**10 Geramiun Essential Oil drops.
I've only just done my first massage....
Well, help me with those dosages....And tell me if I'm missing something.

Hi Laura, I didn't reply earlier because I wouldn't really know about those ratios. I just know that you can mix 2 drops of essential oil per 5ml of base.
I think that looks good though and you can always experiment with dosages and see what works.
I think you could add more EPO since Sunset for example uses 500mg on each breast pure for massages and I did that a couple of times too.
I would add Fennel extract to your potion though, I am not sure what is so potent with the batter I made but I am guessing that the Fennel extract helps things along quite a bit.
Good luck and tell us how it is going, that sounds like a good mix and if it works good on you I will try it with the cocoa butter too.
Take care,
Lisa

Hi Laura, I am sure someone mentioned before that they mixed the cocoa butter with extract so it does seem to work, haven't tried it myself so I am not too sure. You can get Fennel essential oil though so you could use that if you are worried about the oil mixing with the liquid.
Here is a link on how to make extract: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/learn/extract.php
I think you can add the EPO, that should be fine, just make sure it isn't more than the cocoa butter. :-)
Take care,
Lisa

Hi Laura, you might as well consider adding a pure essential oil of fennel to your lotion, this should be easy to find, as you have also used the ylang yland and geranium.
I ended up getting the oil myself for the massages cause at the time I could not easily find a tincure and did not have the time to make it myself. I will consider it in the future though when I use all my fennel oil.
This is just a thought, as an oil blends better with butter and tinctures are usually alcohol/water based (I know mixing something watery with something oily doesn't sound right, however so many girls have done it, so it must work well enough for a massage mixture.)
Warm boobie wishes,

Essential oil
May 18 2006, 12:41 PM
Hey Laura, what you found is cool and I think either this (making your own essential oil) OR making your own herbal tincture from Lisa121's url link, either of the two is definitely worth a try!!! From what I saw, the alcohol based tincture needs to soak for somewhat longer (4-6 weeks, compared to the oil where you have the option to either soak it for 2weeks in the sun, or heat it for several hours). So, you can have it ready for use much earlier. Another thing I would advise you to be careful with, is the lifetime of the oil as it can spoil much faster, but the tincture can last for years, so no waste. Hence if I was making the oil, I wouldn't make a big quantity of it to make sure I use it all before it spoils.
For both methods, but especially for the oil case, the advice is that fresh finely chopped herbs will be better for transfering the essense, so your liquid will me more "potent", or you have to make sure you use good quality dried herbs, but not powdered, cause it will be very tricky or even impossible to drain well. It seems that an alcohol tincture will work well either way, with fresh or dried herbs, as alcohol will extract the essense quite well anyway.
So, the decision is yours! As I said you can use a fennel pure essential oil in the meantime, while "playing" to prepare your own liquid extract
Have fun!

Mixing tinctures with oil/butter
May 18 2006, 12:46 PM
Oh, and another thing that just came to me is that you should not worry about a tincture mixing well with an oil-based mix, as by GENTLY HEATING the mix, the watery stuff gets evaporated and everything gets mixed well in the end.

Oven temperature
May 18 2006, 1:53 PM
150 deg. Celcious sounds way too high (cannot be considered "oven on very low", no way). So it HAS to be Fahrenheit: 150 deg. F is equivalent to around 60-70 deg. Celcious, so this sounds about right, this sounds more like "very low heat"...

I'm inured to use oven at 250, 300 Celsius degree so for me 150C is a very low temperature.
However, just to be sure, i've setted the oven at 70C so i'm sure it does not spoil.
In 2 hours my boobie butter will be done!!!
