Question for Eve

I am in the process of switching over from using capsules to dried and powdered herbs like in your program and was wondering what kind of scale you used for weighing your herbs. Was it a digital scale or a regular one? Did it measure in milligrams or just grams? Thanks in advance.

I used a digital scale. It wasn't accurate to the milligram but it displayed 2 decimal places of a gram.

Eve,
I was reading your program today and viewed your pics.
I was very impressed with the results you achieved.
Were you concerned at all with possible harm of taking all the herbs? Did you experience any mood swings-I took herbs for just short of a year and became more emotional and would cry very easily. Right now I am just drinking soy milk one or two glasses a day and trying to eat some of the foods listed for potential. Seeing your pics makes me want to try again. Thoughts please?

No, I didn't have any concerns about the herbs being harmful, because my program was put together by my grandmother who was working as a herbalist at the time. I think I must have just assumed she knew what she was doing.

Regarding your other question, no I can't remember experiencing any mood swings. In fact I had no adverse effects of any kind, except right at the beginning I had a few spots, which I suspected at the time was due to the herbs. But my face soon cleared up anyway, so maybe it wasn't connected to the herbs at all. That spot outbreak was the only scare with the herbs that I ever had. I'm just glad it didn't last too long.

Hi Eve,

Thanks for your response. I'm glad that I don't have to get a milligram scale as they seem to cost a lot more money than gram scales. There is also way more selection to choose from with gram scales. Thanks again!

That's so nice that your grandmother helped you with everything, wish my family was like that so I wouldn't be sneaking around Tongue

Frostedmint - I saw a mg scale a while back that reads I think to maybe 10mg and it was £25!

Hi Louise,

I don't really want to spend that much on a scale (that works out to about $50 Canadian). The gram scales I found start at $6.50 CAD (3.25 GBP) so they cost a lot less. As long as the scale is of reasonable quality that should be good enough. There are also taxes and shipping charges to add in as well. The main reason why I am switching over to powdered herbs is to save some money. Who knew that this booby stuff would be so expensive!

Yes my grandmother gave me the program in every detail. So I can't take any of the credit for it!

What did your friends say/think of your results? Did they all make a beeline to your grandmothers house? I know I would have!

of course you can take the credit for followign the program diligently, and for making this brilliant forum, but you grandmother is really awesome to have helped you with something like this and be supportive ..by the way, what does she have to say about massaging? does she feel like it is really important.. and any other factors that she feels is most important for NBE? like mayeb a particular herb that she feels is invaluable, or time of taking the herbs or any miscellaneous info she could provide for us..already she has indirectly helped us all through youSmile but if she feels there is any single most important thing please let us know.thanks

Frostedmint, many of my friends had plenty in the breast dept anyway, so I felt awkward about telling them what I was doing and preferred to say nothing. Oddly enough the one friend I did tell was sceptical and even after the results could be seen she was still sceptical and insisted I must have experienced a late puberty.

The single most important thing is to take the herbs consistently and not to expect results overnight. There is no one ingredient which is key and massage isn't essential either, although in most cases massage is likely to help, but again only if it's done consistently.

thanks for the tip eve,how long did you take the herbs? and when you mean consistency, do you think it shuold be taken the same time everyday? I mean i know it should but would it be very bad if there was some variation in the timing ?

I took herbs for two and a half years altogether. Being consistent taking herbs does not mean taking them at the exact same time every day. I think there's bound to be at least some variation in anyone's routine.
